Dear Sir/Madam,
It is a pleasure to write this recommendation letter to Onur Ganiler in order to
recommend him for this postdoctoral position in your institution. Onur did a Bachelor
Degree and a Master Degree in Computer Science and Mathematical Engineering
respectively, where he received excellent grades (3.08 over 4 and 3.77 over 4). Once he
finished his studies he joined our Computer Vision and Robotics group, where he did
the PhD under my supervision on the field of medical image analysis and in particular
on the development of automated tools to detect multiple sclerosis lesions in brain MRI
images.
I would like to remark that his performance was at a top level, carrying out his tasks
with accuracy and dedication. It was really easy to work with him, always receptive and
using the advices he receives from others in order to constantly improve himself.
Observing him during this period, I have to say that he had a great capacity for doing
research and he had innate leadership skills. Onur is an active person, who always feels
comfortable with new challenges. His work was accurate and with an outstanding
quality level, always achieved in an efficient way.
Onur showed always his interest in doing research and continuing with an academic or
researcher career. I honestly believe that this opportunity could be very useful for him. I
don’t have any doubt that Onur will benefit from this opportunity working at a top level.
To sum up, I don’t hesitate to recommend Onur for this position, as he’s an excellent
person who knows how to get the maximum of the opportunities he gets.
Yours Sincerely,
Dr. Xavier Lladó
