Danmachi Season 5 Episode 2 is set to release on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 10 pm JST on ABEMA Premium in Japan. The episode will also be available on HIDIVE for early streaming on the same date. After that, the episode will be telecast on Tokyo MX, BS11, and ABEMA on October 12, 2024, at 12:30 AM JST.

In the previous episode, Syr realized her feelings of love for Bell Cranel. As such, she sent him a letter, inviting the boy to go on a date with her at the Goddess Festival. It was also revealed that Syr was connected to the Freya Familia. Considering how the episode ended, fans are now looking forward to the release of Danmachi Season 5 Episode 2.

The episode begins with Syr sitting in a field wearing a white dress and in tears, recalling the moments she shared with Bell Cranel, wondering whether she has fallen in love with him. Meanwhile, Goddess Hestia discloses that Liliruca and Haruhime have both leveled up. While Makoto and Welf didn't get a rank up, their status has been boosted.

Bell Cranel has also become worthy of leveling up because of the incredible resilience he has shown in the dungeon's depth. However, Hestia feels it's too early for him to rank up again. After that, the Hestia Familia's members and others celebrate their miraculous escape from the Dungeon's horror at Mama Mia's tavern.

During the feast, Bell Cranel learns about the upcoming Goddess Festival, which is held to celebrate the year's successful harvest. Meanwhile, Syr asks Bell whether something has happened between him and Ryu since the girl refuses to make eye contact.

Later outside the tavern, Ryu and Bell share an embarrassing moment, where the elf apologetically tells the boy that she's having trouble looking at him in the face directly. The next day, Syr directly asks Ryu whether she has feelings for Bell. She confesses her feelings for the boy but reassures Syr that she won't get in the way of her love. Syr then asks Ryu's permission so that she can invite Bell on a date.

The episode moves to the Hestia mansion, where Syr's letter is delivered to Bell by Horn, one of the esteemed members of the Freya Familia. Syr invites Bell Cranel on a date with her to the Goddess Festival. The letter creates chaos in the Hestia Familia, as Goddess Hestia feels her nightmare has become reality.

The party then wonders whether Syr is connected to the Freya Familia, considering Horn, who directly serves Goddess Freya, delivered the letter. In any case, Bell plans to meet Syr once. Meanwhile, Ottar holds a meeting with other Freya Familia members. Allen decides that he will go as Syr's bodyguard on the date.

Others from the Freya Familia are unhappy with this date but can't take direct action fearing Freya's wrath. Thus, they send out Hedin Selland, one of Freya Familia's strongest members, to disrupt their date. While Bell is on his way to the tavern to meet Syr, he gets ambushed by Selland. They fight for a while until Bell is eventually overwhelmed and seemingly captured.

The post-credit scenes show Syr asking Goddess Freya's permission to go on a date with Bell Cranel. Freya accepts under one condition: She can never see Bell again if the boy finds out her actual identity. With Bell in jeopardy now, it will be more difficult for Syr to hide her goddesshood.

Danmachi Season 5 Episode 2 is titled Master, as per the title preview shown at the end of the latest installment. The episode will likely show what Hedin Selland plans to do with Bell Cranel. It will be interesting to see the Hestia Familia's reaction to Bell's abduction.
