Fulbright Fellowships (posted November 7; event Wednesday, November 20)

The Undergraduate Fellowship Office has shared information about the Fulbright U.S. Student Program and a Fulbright Information Session co-hosted by Fulbright staff and Ohio State’s Undergraduate Fellowship Office.

Please join Fulbright U.S. Student Program staff and Fulbright Alumni Ambassadors for an information session to learn about opportunities for U.S. citizens to go abroad for 1 year to pursue graduate or professional study, conduct research, or teach English. During the session, you will find out about the types of Fulbright awards, application components, tips, and get your questions answered. Following the program overview, attendees will enter a breakout room with Ohio State Fulbright advisors to learn more about applying through their institution.

Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from any discipline are welcome to attend. For undergraduate students, these grants are post-graduation opportunities and juniors may be particularly interested since they will be able to start a Fulbright application this spring to go abroad after they graduate.

The Fulbright information session will take place Wed., Nov. 20 from 2-3:15 pm. Please register on Zoom here.

Resources for Students Interested in Graduate Studies

October 24, 2024

Are you an Ohio State Statistics or Data Analytics undergraduate interested in applying to graduate school in a related field? The University of Washington Department of Statistics is piloting a pre-application review service (PARS) initiative to provide support and mentorship to Ph.D. applicants from historically marginalized groups, including but not limited to racial and ethnic minorities, women and non-binary students, first-generation students, indigenous students, LGBTQIA+ students, students with disabilities, and students from low-income families. Current Statistics and Biostatistics Ph.D. students will review and provide feedback on a prospective applicant's statement of purpose, personal statement, and resume or curriculum vitae (CV). The process is open to students applying to any graduate program in Statistics or Biostatistics, whether at the University of Washington or any other U.S. university.
