I'm 19 y.o., female, 5"1 and 175 pounds. I heard that calcium is good for weight loss. So how should I start taking it. From foods or is there some powdery magic solution i can buy in the farmacy?

How efficient is this and how should i take it?

Hi,

Yeah, a recent study shows that calcium intake may help boost your weight loss; however, have in mind that this is true only if your calcium intake was low .

I don't suggest using some powdery magic solution from the pharmacy. You need to get calcium from regular food because that is the most efficient way of getting calcium in your system.

Artifical way of calcium intake, like from the pharmacy , is not efficient at all. So make sure you eat the food that has lots of calcium.

Foods that contain lots of calcium are

  • brocolli
  • canned sardines
  • skim milk
  • yogurt
  • baked beans
  • almonds walnuts
  • rice pudding
  • apricots
  • figs

So make sure you eat enough of these in your diet and you should get your dose of calcium which can ultimately help you lose weight.

Good luck
