Hi. A healthy diet is very important for all of us with diabetes. You must eat fruits, bread, cereals, rice, pasta, starchy veggies, drink milk and yogurt. Count grams of carbohydrate. You diet must be high in fiber, to lower the risks of obesity, high blood pressure and strokes. You should consume some 30 grams of fiber every day. Fiber rich foods are fresh fruits and veggies, cooked beans and peas, brown rice, cereals, whole grain bread. Avoid the salt to reduce the risk of high blood pressure.
