100% Soft continues its epic line of Melted Dumpster Fire Hand Painted Sofubi Figures with three different Designer Con 2023 Exclusive releases! Each set is by one of 100% Soft’s favorite customizers from around the world – Rampage Toys, Candie Bolton and Paisia. Each custom Melted Dumpster Fire Sofubi is completely hand painted by the artist and will be raffled for purchase each day of the convention.

The Rampage Toys Melted Dumpster Fire Soft Vinyl Figure is limited to 20 pieces and will retail for $200. The Candie Bolton Melted Dumpster Fire Soft Vinyl Figure is limited to 8 pieces and will retail for $275. The Paisia Melted Dumpster Fire Soft Vinyl Figure is limited to 50 pieces and will retail for $175. Raffles will take place at the following times at the 100% Soft Designer Con booth #1419: Friday (Dec 15th) at 7:30pm; Saturday (Dec 16th) at 4pm; and Sunday (Dec 17th) at 3pm.

Visit the 100% Soft DCon booth #1419 each day before the raffle to get a numbered wristband to be entered. One wristband per person, per day. 100% Soft will put the wristband on you and you must be present in person at their booth with your wristband still on if your number is called to be able to purchase. There will be a limited number of each of the Melted Dumpster Fire Customs allocated for each day. Winners will get to pick one of the customs to purchase on a first called first choice basis. There will not be separate raffles for each variant.

Rumpus Walking Signed Green Edition Vinyl Figure by Scribe x UVD Toys

Artist Nerviswr3k has teamed up with Japan’s GrapeBrain Rage to release this awesome NibiruanMacaroni custom figure! For this release, Nerviswr3k took GrapeBrain Rage’s Macaroni sofubi figure and infused it with his own character, the Inner Child. With this NibiruanMacaroni custom figure it now looks like the Inner Child is wearing a Macaroni suit!

This weekend at Designer Con 2021, Gary Baseman will be releasing this amazing hand painted Groucho Ahwroo custom vinyl figures! Each month, Clutter is spotlighting a super talented toy artist by releasing a limited micro-run of six custom 5” Dunnys by the artist. March Mad-Ness 2021 Mad Spraycan Mutant Vinyl Figures by MAD x Martian Toys

Ghostbears Are Forever Custom Vinyl Figures by Liz Frontera x Luke Chueh

Artist Liz Frontera has teamed up with Luke Chueh to create an epic new Ghostbear custom series entitled “Ghostbears Are Forever”!  Each figure was hand embellished with over 2,100 authentic Swarovski Crystals (grey diamond color) and then cured in resin.  According to Luke, it look Liz approximately 7 hours to do this to each Ghostbear!  How amazing is that!?!?

100% Soft, the king of kawaii pop art, has teamed up with acclaimed artist Jason Edmiston to make this one of a kind, hand cast, hand painted resin figure of 2020’s unofficial mascot, the Dumpster Fire! Cometdebris’ Designer Con 2019 Exclusives

Koji Harmon of Cometdebris is heading to California this weekend to attend DCon 2019, where he’ll be releasing some awesome sofubi exclusives and customs. There will be at least five different Cometdebris Designer Con 2019 exclusives dropping at the convention, as well as a tote, t-shirt and Lucky Bags including 1 or 2 custom figures.

Retroband “I can't stop the Monster I created” Solo Exhibition at Bottleneck Gallery

The Blot was super excited to learn that artist Aaron “Retroband” Moreno’s first ever solo gallery exhibition – “I can't stop the Monster I created” – will be taking place on Saturday, September 21st, at Bottleneck Gallery! Known for projecting ‘70s and ‘80s horror film-fueled fantasies onto his vinyl-cast MEATS sculpture, Moreno's showcase will focus on renditions of this disquieting form.

Manifesting through an impressive array of hand-painted/modified MEATS pieces, as well as an unprecedented selection of “raw” unpainted versions, “I can’t stop the Monster I created” will introduce the award-winning artist’s newest interpretation of his monstrous character, one inspired by Japan’s Ma-Ba Zombie toy line.

Also debuting at the exhibition is a 154-page retrospective titled “MEATS by Retroband”, an art book from CoART Publications. Comprised mainly of specially-commissioned photographs by Bryan Sargent, this full-color monograph details every hand-painted/modified MEATS rendition by Moreno from the form’s 2015 introduction until mid-2018. How cool is that!?!

With all available works sold on a first-come, first-served basis (initial limit of one piece and one book per person), Moreno’s “I can't stop the Monster I created” is a free-to-the-pubic exhibition hosted at the Bottleneck Gallery contemporary art space — 60 Broadway in Brooklyn, NY — on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 from 6-9pm.
