About Conway Twitty
Conway Twitty was multi award winning American country singer who initially began his career in the music business as a rock-and-roll singer before transitioning to country music. Some of his biggest hits include It's Only Make Believe, Hello Darlin', You've Never Been This Far Before and Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man. In 1999, he was posthumously honored with an induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Personal Life
From 1953 to 1954, he was married to his first wife Ellen Matthews. He and Ellen had a son together. His second and third marriages were to Temple "Mickey" Medley, with whom he fathered three more children. His fourth and final marriage was to Delores Henry in 1987. The marriage produced no children and lasted until his death in 1993.
Trivia
In 1993, while on tour, he collapsed in his tour bus and died shortly after being rushed to hospital.
