About Dido
Dido is the stage name of English singer and songwriter Florian Cloud de Bounevialle Armstrong. She started her career in 1995 by releasing “Odds & Ends”, a collection of demo tracks recorded under Nettwerk Management. She shot to international fame after the release of her debut album, “No Angel” in 1999. Her best-known singles include “Thank You”, “Here with Me” and “Life for Rent”.
Family Life
She is the daughter of Clare Collins, a poet and William Armstrong, an Irish publisher. Because of her father, she also holds Irish citizenship. She is the younger sister of record producer, Rollo. Since 2010, she has been married to Rohan Gavin, with whom she has a son named Stanley.
Achievements
She has been honoured by a number of prominent awarding bodies including the Billboard Music Awards, Brit Awards, Ivor Novella Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, World Music Awards and NRJ Music Awards.
