About Divock Origi
Divock Okoth Origi is a professional Belgian football player. He joined the English Premier League club, Liverpool as a forward player in the year 2014. He began his professional senior career in football with French club, Lille in 2012 before he transferred to Liverpool.
Origi also played on loan for VfL Wolfsburg as well as Lille while he was still at Liverpool. He also played internationally for the Belgian National youth teams before he was called to join the senior squad in 2014.
Family
He is the son of retired football player, Michael Okoth Origi, best recognized as Mike Okoth. He is also the nephew of Austin Oduor who also played in the Kenyan Premier League. He is the cousin of professional footballer, Arnold Otieno Origi.
Achievements
In the year 2014, he was named as the Belgian Sportsman Promising Talent of the Year. He featured in the Liverpool squad that won the UEFA Super Cup in 2019 as well as the UEFA Champions league that year.
Trivia
He began his youth career at Genk.
Being a player of Liverpool, Origi has played alongside famous team mates like Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk.
