About Howard Gardner
American psychologist Howard Gardner has gained lots of followers of his view on the multiple intelligences of human beings. He has expressed the opinion that humans have the ability to process information in different ways which are independent of each other.
He has shared his knowledge through his numerous books including his 2020 memoir titled “A Synthesizing Mind”. In 1983, he published his most popular literature titled “Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences”.
Gardner is famously known as one of the founders of The Good Project, an initiative to encourage excellent and ethical works.
Family
His parents are Hilde Weilheimer and Ralph Gardner. He has been married to fellow psychologist Ellen Winner. His children are Andrew, Benjamin, Kerith, and Jay.
Education
He completed his education at Wyoming Seminary before joining Harvard College.
Awards
He received the MacArthur Prize Fellowship in 1981. Nine years later, the University of Louisville honored him with their “Grawemeyer Award in Education”.
Trivia
Until 2019, he worked as a teacher at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
He also worked on Professor Nelson Goodman’s “Project Zero”.
