Jonathan Pryce is a revered, award-winning Welsh actor who began his acting career in theater before going on to attain worldwide stardom playing notable film roles such as Henry Kravis in 1993's Barbarians at the Gate, Weatherby Swann in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series and US President/Zartan in the G.I. Joe film series.
Family Life
He was born to Margaret and Isaac Price. He and actress Kate Fahy have three children: Patrick, Gabriel and Phoebe.
Trivia
According to him, he initially hoped to become a painter.
In 2009, for his years of services to drama, he was honored with a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire).
His portrayal of the Eurasian character "The Engineer" in the musical Miss Saigon caused a great deal of controversy since many felt that a Caucasian portraying an Asian was an insult to the entire Asian community.
