La Placita Taco Grill

This spot is Permanently Closed.

La Placita is an outdoor taco shop on Bird Road that sells everything from bowls to burritos and salads. But we like the tacos and quesadillas best. You can order the three amigos, which comes with an arrachera, chicken, and al pastor taco. Normally, we’d consider chicken tacos the Chevy Chase of this Three Amigos clan. But it’s surprisingly juicy and seasoned well. The best taco here, though, is the mar y tierra—a surf and turf situation with shrimp, steak, citrus, cabbage, pico de gallo, and cilantro. It’s so stuffed, it’s impossible to keep it all in the tortilla.
