During Halloween season – where pumpkins are concerned – there are carvers and there are painters. Both methods of decorating pump­kins can turn into works of art, and some painted pumpkins can have elaborate designs.

While some have practiced this art for years, Sandy Byerly, of Radcliff, started only recently. She is the owner of Northside Markets on Knox Boulevard.
