Oh, the importance of having a church family.

I believe that the Christians you keep in your circle contribute to your commitment to God. Of course, it is possible to have a relationship with God and not with anyone who does as well, but it is so very difficult to keep yourself on track.

Like I said above, a church family contributes to your commitment to God. That statement is very real. When you are falling in your walk with christ and you are feeling hopeless, these key people lift you and encourage you. Your faithful companions can help you when you are feeling doubt in your faith.

I have experienced this firsthand.

In the few bible studies I have taken part of, and our Wednesday night groups, I have created incredible bonds with people. Some, we have barely scratched the surface of friendship and I know certain people would risk their life for me. People have proven to have my back and support me through all my ups and downs. There are people that don't know God that can be this true and genuine but it is rare. It is the true and pure joy of knowing our Creator and Savior.

Not only is a church family genuine and supportive, we share the bond of having a deep relationship with our Heavenly Father. What precious connections and conversations you can have with a group of people that share in your true faith with you.

This is so vital and special and I highly encourage anyone who does not have a church family to connect with me.

Reach out to me.

I have open arms in likeness with our incredible Father.

A church family is so important.

The Daily Struggles of Being a College Commuter

I've been in college for four years now. I spent half my time as a commuter and half as a resident so I've experienced both sides of the housing spectrum. One thing I've learned comparing the two is that my struggles as a commuter far outweigh anything I went through while living on campus. Commuters have to deal with the problems school brings along with a slew of other issues; I've filled up my gas tank in the worst kind of weather conditions and napped in random places in public more times than I'm proud to say of. This is a list of some of the most challenging aspects of being a commuter.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!
