Makeup Review: Morphe Brushes

As college kids, we all experience that one struggle of being broke all the time. So if you are like me when you run out of makeup, you’re going to buy the next best thing. Recently I discovered a brand that many YouTubers and Instagramers are dying for and screaming “YAAASSSS” every time they use this brand. Discovering Morphe brushes changed my makeup game and when I say they slay the game with high quality brushes, I mean they KILL it in the beauty industry. Also, the brushes and makeup palettes come at a reasonable price. I mean, HELLO, sold already. If you want to check them out, you can here. I am not an affiliate, although I wish I was because that would mean I have made it in the beauty industry, but you can find many coupon codes from Jaclyn Hill, Manny MUA, Patrickstarr, etc. Here are some of my top favorite brushes and palette’s by Morphe:

FACE BRUSHES:

G0- This brush allows you to apply powder or translucent face powder to a large area and dense enough to pick up a good amount of powder for your face and neck.

M527 - It doesn't look like it now, but once you have this bad boy in your hands, you will understand why this is considered the holy grail contouring/bronzing brush. Can also be a dupe for the Mac M315.

E3- A soft and fluffy brush that can also be used on the tapered side for more focused contour on cheeks, all over powder for the face, or for my personal fave, blush.

M439- This dense brush will give you full coverage with an air brush finish. Essentially, you can use less foundation and get more coverage with this brush, because of the density and shorter brush hairs. It's my personal fave as I have replaced my beauty blender for this brush.

M510 - A highlighting brush that will lead you out of the darkness and into space because your highlight will be slaying that much.

M438 - Although the brush name states "Pointed Contour", I personally use this brush to set my under eye concealer with powder. This brush is also a dupe for the Sigma F35

M459- Everyone by now should have heard of the term "baking", and I am not talking about cookies. This brush allows you to chisel out the cheek by precisely "baking" out the contour with any translucent face powder or banana powder.

EYE BRUSHES:

E27 Fluffy Blending Brush - My go-to brush for transition shades. Although it is big enough for an all over lid brush, it is perfect for blending and your crease.

M441- Also used for the transition area. It is upper soft and applies the eyeshadow on smoothly.

M433- Ride or die for applying a dense amount of color to the lid in the outer crease or inner crease. Actually, you can use this for anything. This brush is just like the M441 but just shorter hairs which allows you to work in a tighter area.

E36- Awesome for inner corner highlight. I use this with the Mac “Nylon” eyeshadow and this brush places it perfectly.

M432- The brush allows you to get right on the bottom last line with any dark colors and create that magnificent smokey eye. It is very soft so it doesn’t hurt the bottom lid.

MAKEUP PALETTES:

35O – basically all the warm fall eyeshadows you would ever need in one palette that everyone is dying to get their hands on.

35W- Natural or dramatic look can be used with this palette. The shimmer eyeshadows in this palette can turn into foil-looking eyeshadows when applied with Mac Fix Plus. Like, amazing.

12NB- The cranberry color on the bottom right could be a dupe for Makeup Geek's "Bitten." Honestly, I bought this palette just for that color and it did not disappoint.

On the Upper East Side, Blair Waldorf is an icon. She's what every girl aspires to be. She's beautiful, confident, and can handle any obstacle that life throws at her. Sure, she may just be a television character. But for me, she's a role model and theres a lot that can be learned from Queen B.

“I just want you to know that you’re very special… and the only reason I’m telling you is that I don’t know if anyone else ever has.”

As frustrating and annoying as it can be, being a girl is really awesome. We are beautiful inside and out. Not a lot of people may see that, but girls have a ton of amazing qualities.

We have unique flirting skills.

Us girls have a significant way to flirt with other people. Even when we say the most random or awkward things, we have a way of making everything sound cute and planned. It’s just a gift; we’re good like that.

We Heart It

Over the past decade, television has undergone a very crucial transition: the incorporation of female lead characters. Since it's a known fact that girls actually do run the world (Beyonce said so herself), it's time for the leading ladies of the small screen to get some credit. Without these characters, women would still be sitting in the background of our favorite shows. These women are not only trailblazers for female empowerment, but role models for women worldwide. With that, here are 15 of the smartest, sassiest ladies gracing our screens that remind us that women do, indeed, rule:
