Try honeyberries for an unusual fruit to add to your five a day! These sweet blueberry-like fruits have been eaten for years in their native Siberia, and can be enjoyed straight from the bush, or baked in jams, pies and muffins. The sweet taste is similar to that of blueberries, with a slight aftertaste of honey. They are high in healthy antioxidants too!
The oval black-blue honeyberries of Lonicera caerulea var. kamtschatica begin to ripen in early June, in the first or second year after planting. This exceptionally hardy shrub is long lived and easy to grow, producing more delicious berries year upon year. Height and spread: 1.8m (6'). Spread: 1.5m (5')
Caution: It should be noted that not all berries of the Lonicera family are edible.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
