‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’ has got off to a flying start at the box office. The Venkatesh-starrer has garnered a lot of acclaim being a festive release, and the film has raked in more than Rs 20 crore on two days. While the theatrical performance of the Anil Ravipudi directorial is being widely talked about, speculations rife about Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’s OTT release.

Several reports speculate that ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’ will be available on OTT for streaming in mid-February. Zee 5 reportedly acquired the OTT rights of the film, and that it’ll be available for streaming 6 six weeks after its theatrical release. While the streaming platform hasn’t announced the OTT release date – given that the film is doing well in theaters – the online buzz about the film’s OTT is doing the rounds. ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunnam’ registered career-best openings for Venkatesh and the film has been going well at theaters – thanks to the festive season. Recently, several Telugu films have streamed on OTT in less than 4 weeks after the theatrical release. Poor theatrical revenue, negative reviews and bad word of mouth have resulted in the film’s quick OTT show.
