While we had to get up very early a number of days to make sure that we fit everything in, our group bonded and really enjoy the time we spent getting to know each other, as well as the fascinating sites and history around us. Shout out to Saladino who was our guide - he was incredibly knowledgeable and patient with our group of 20! Accommodation in Cairo, and on the boat was comfortable, and great value to be honest, even though it wasn’t luxurious.Show more

From start to finish, it was clear that this experience was well worth the price, offering not just a scenic voyage but also rich cultural immersion at every stop. One of the standout aspects of the trip was the itinerary—each day brought a new adventure, with intermediary stops at some of Egypt’s most awe-inspiring temples. You’ll be up early most days but it’s worth it. From the grandeur of Karnak and Luxor Temples to the serene beauty Kom Ombo, we had ample time to explore, soak in the history, and appreciate the craftsmanship of these ancient structures. The balance between guided tours and free time was perfect, allowing for structured learning as well as personal discovery and shopping. A key highlight was our tour guide, Saladino, who was nothing short of fantastic. His deep knowledge, engaging storytelling, and ability to bring history to life made each site visit even more meaningful. He managed to keep the group engaged while also making room for individual questions, adding a personal touch to the experience. Beyond the included excursions, there were plenty of optional activities to enhance the adventure. From a sunrise hot air balloon ride over Luxor to a mesmerizing sound and light show at Abu Simbel, there was always something extra for those wanting to dive deeper. The flexibility to tailor the experience to personal preferences was a huge plus. The cruise itself was a perfect retreat after days of exploration. The onboard amenities, including a (unheated) pool with a view of the Nile, buffet meals, and spacious cabins, made it a relaxing and comfortable journey. Watching the riverbanks glide by from the deck was a serene experience, offering glimpses of local villages, palm groves, and the occasional fisherman waving from a felucca. If you’re considering a Nile cruise, I can confidently say this was absolutely worth it. Between the well-planned itinerary, the opportunity to see Egypt’s wonders up close, and the outstanding guidance of Saladino, this trip exceeded all expectations. This was my first small group tour and first booking on TourRadar, and both experiences were great. Excellent communication and support from the local tour provider who waited patiently outside the terminal in Cairo until 2am as I tried to locate my luggage, which British Airways had left in London. We had great local guides Abduo in Giza and Saqqara, and Medhat who covered the trip from Luxor to Aswan as we visited the temples and tombs of the Kings of Egypt along the Nile. Hot Air Balloon above the Valley of the Kings is a must do, the highlight of the trip. Abu Simbel is a 3-plus hour ride each way for a 90 minute visit. It’s a unique site, and you might regret not going if you skip it. I’m glad I’ve seen it, but wouldn’t go twice The only day I would have left out was the trip to Alexandria. Not enough on the itinerary to justify the very long ride each way. The catacombs were interesting, but really underwhelming after seeing the tombs and temples along the Nile. The Fort we visited was a replica of one that previously stood on the sight. All in all, a fabulous trip made even better by the fellow adventurers in our small group. It covered many of the main attractions and the guides were very good. The itinerary was occasionally quite tight with early mornings which I think might make this too strenuous for the elderly. - JGJan· November 19th, 2024Very well organized tour. We saw all the major tourist attractions. Both guides, Abdul in Cairo and Saladino in upper Egypt were knowledgeable, organized and pleasant. The tour manager, Ahmed, was on site to help organize everything. The hotel in Cairo and the boat on the Nile were comfortable, clean and well maintained. Transportation was done by comfortable coach. The few low points: the lunch in Giza was in an extremely loud and chaotic buffet restaurant. We visited a number of specialty stores which I find were overpriced but provided a more civilized shipping opportunity than dealing with street merchants. Those were minor things. Keep in mind that some of the excursions and flights are very early in the morning: 2:45am, 4am departures from the hotel. I don't think anything can be done about it if you want to see all the places but it's something to keep in mind. The plan is quite ambitious and it requires a certain physical fitness. Overall, the experience was great and I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Egypt. Make sure you get the optional Abu Simbel tour. On this tour you’ll see all the many wonderful sites and learn so many new things thanks to the amazing guides Ahmed and Saladino. There was nothing to fault with this company - top class. Be warned though there are quite a few very early morning starts and an awful lot of walking over uneven ground - not recommended for those with walking difficulties. Wish we had extended our trip to take the cruise back to Luxor but didn’t know this was an option - next time def. If you are only going to do one trip to Egypt do it with these guys.
