Hi! I went to the Giant Eagle in Brentwood in search of a 3- to 3.5-pound pot roast. Robert at this store was very helpful. Even though he had clocked out and was on his way home, he took the time to cut a new roast for me. I was very pleased. Kudos to Robert.
This might've been my worst job experience ever. I was hired out of a hiring event, thrown into the back to train & forgotten about. Good way to start off. The management was stuck up, picked favorites, insulted mine & my coworker's intelligence & did nothing about problematic coworkers. They forced me to be a greeter, a brand new position, for 4 of the 8 months I worked there. No chair or floormat; continuously talked down at by customers for just greeting them. It was also during freezing cold months & had to shove myself between products to stay warm. That wasn't in the job description. When I did do the job, which was cashier; customers were insufferable & management was never anywhere to be found. 9/10 times, you need a manager override for anything on the register. I would beg them to go home due to my uncontrollable panic attacks, and they would refuse to let me leave. Our hours got cut & they still hired more people. And the minors were scheduled to work during their after school activities; which wasn't fair. After I saw the problematic coworker assult the flower dept worker, I left my shift & submitted a letter of resignation. I will never work for them again or even shop there. They price gauge like crazy for products you can find cheaper somewhere else. I'm sure they do it because of the fuelperks, but nonetheless; this was a miserable & toxic place to work. It wasn't enough pay per hour anyway.
Lack of cashiers, shelves a mess, the fresh food was old (example: ginger dried up and hard, green leafed veggies were leaking, food is starting to stay on shelves too long because they rot inside containers and bags.

Terrible place to shop
First prices are wrong. I look up egg prices on their website and it says $5 to $9. I get there they only have one brand I never heard of and it is $13.99 for an 18 pack. They have one aisle marked as waffles and ice cream. It has veggies and all kinds of other stuff. How do you shop if you can't find anything? The prices are higher than all other stores. They pretend prices are lower because digital coupons but you only get those online and their website sux. They haven't upgraded or remodeled this store since Pittsburgh had 3 good sports teams. Their conveyor belts are 3 feet long it takes forever to checkout. My cashier seemed to only be able to use 1 hand at a time and no bag boys were present.

Digital coupons.I would shop at this store more…
I would shop at this store more frequently if they would stop misleading you with all of these digital coupon tags. Is there a reason you cannot charge someone the same price for the product the doesn't have a digital coupon? You can't collect any more data off of what I purchased there. So it has to be just a ploy to get you to buy things and pay full price for them when you get at the checkout. Shameful.

Absolutely disgusting prices
Absolutely disgusting prices. They should be ashamed but they’re obviously not. $10 for a 12 pack of pop. I couldn’t find any 24 packs so I figured they stopped carrying them because no one could afford them! $7 for a 4 pack of ice cream cones?! They were always pricy but give them an excuse (inflation) to raise prices and they will do it every time. Forget them caring about their customers. The only thing they care about is what’s in said customer’s pocket. They give the sob story that they have to raise prices because the costs are so high yet I guaranteed their recent earnings are through the roof.

Giant Eagle Pharmacy in Willoughby
The Giant Eagle store in Willoughby, OH may be good but the pharmacy needs a new manager. Why should I wait 3 days for refills on my prescriptions? I have been having problems with refilling my prescriptions so I switched to 90 day prescriptions. Yesterday I called in 5 prescription refills. Today only 2 prescriptions were filled. It doesn't do any good to complain because the manager is young and does not care about customer service. Ditto the store manager. The whole pharmacy should be overhauled. I will have to move my prescriptions elsewhere for better service.

Giant Eagle - Poor quality food for high prices
I purchased two small steaks for $16.00 from the Giant Eagle on Hayden Run. They were so stringy and tough throughout that we were unable to eat them. Often their produce is moldy. I will never purchase from them again.

This is the 2nd time at tge frankstown road giant eagle thst my scanned advantage card did not register. And their sale items were not in the system.either.checked my receipt when i got home and found i was overcharged and none if my fuel perks were applied.attempted to contact customer support that is also fruitless. Finally got ahold of a libing person who informed me i had tonwsit 24 hours until my purchase registered in the system. Then received email response to my contact form.and was condescendingly told i need to .use my advantage card when i shop.i had repeatedly stated i scanned it and it did not register for some reason.i was overcharged on sale items my activated offers did not get applied mybperks were not applied.and i was grudgingly told as a "courtesy "they would give me some perks.i filed a complaint with the BBB. This store is horrible.i don't have issues at shop n save. addendum customer support blames me for their system failure. Claiming i did not use my advantage card.despite their system not having current sale items ringing up.

Refuse to give more hours to stores for staff. Literally have to bribe customers with get to yes coupons because they can't be bothered to make sales and digital coupons even make sense or refuse to hold people accountable for reading comprehension on their sales tags. This company needs to close they don't care about customers or employees only fat wallets.

Wadsworth GE greeter is rude and insulting
The Wadsworth Giant Eagle has an older male greeter that yells: "Hey, Grandpa!" to my husband when he walks in with our kids. He does this Every. Single. Time. It's rude and insulting. He frequents the store but as of today has decided to grab carts from the parking lot and will go in through the door by Starbucks so he doesn't have to be called out by the annoyingly fake
greeter. Please tell him to stop calling people anything other than ma'am or sir, because he isn't going to want to hear it from me.

No more rotisserie chickens from giant eagle
I used to buy rotisserie chickens at giant eagle. But now they put them into floppy plastic bags that leak. This one leaked grease all over the floor in my 4 week old car and all over my kitchen counter. I won’t be buying rotisserie chicken ever again unless they start putting them into those tightly closed plastic containers.

Chippewa Pa Store #66
This review is on Store #66 in Chippewa, PA.
My wife and I shop here on a regular basis. Jim and Corey in the butcher shop are the best!! This is one of the main reasons we go there.
After getting my meat and groceries, the checkout lady was very rude and lazy!! I do not tolerate either. The cashiers name is Vickie. I placed 2 gallons of water on the conveyor belt along with other groceries. She told me to remove them from the belt so that she could continue (or something like that) I am 70 years old and hard of hearing. She then looked at me and said something like.... we talked about this and I need you to remove the bottles. Nobody, but Nobody talks to me like I am a child. I proceeded to inform her that I am hard of hearing and I did not hear her. I was very, very, loud in my response to her ignorance.
Seriously!! She couldn't remove the bottles herself? She was probably 20 years younger than me. I did not see any physical issues with her. My guess is that she wanted to show her authority, or is very lazy. Or both.

I recently purchased liquor in the Louisville, Ohio Giant Eagle. After paying for my bottle the clerk was attempting to staple my receipt to the bag, but the stapler jammed, and he could not fix it. I told him I did not need the receipt stapled and he stated that I could not leave the store without it being stapled. After a couple of minutes, I grabbed my purchase and receipt from the counter so I could leave, and the Jerk (James) tried to rip the receipt from my hands. Should be fired !!!!

Giant Eagle Scales Off
Well, everyone I wasn't far off! Giant Eagle is now cited for their scales being off calibrated and over charging their customers. This should warrant a full audit of all stores and Giant Eagle brand affiliates.

Institutional disrespect
If I could give Giant Eagle a 0 today I would. I’ve been a customer for at least 15 years, and I’ve held a fuel direct pay account for about 8 years. Unfortunately, fraudsters tried to empty my linked bank account and I had my bank freeze the account. The next day I attempted to link my fuel card to the new bank account. It took GE a couple days to send the test deposit. Once they did, I tried to reinstate the GE card. After an hour on the phone it was finally handled (phew… terrible system. There’s an advantage pay and a full perks and the old system wasn’t quite linked to the new system, so it’s a problem if you need to update your info. Thanks GE for rewarding my loyalty with a nice time-eating smack down). In the meantime, however, I’ve been harassed by bill collections for a gas purchase made 5 days before I froze the account. Yup you got it- they took 5 days to process the charges, but turned me in to collections the very next day! The VERY NEXT DAY! Not only that, but they added a nice $30 surcharge (for my trouble?). I explained the situation and was told I needed proof from my bank on bank letterhead. Ok- no problem. My bank rep was kind enough to whip that out immediately. Shouldn’t you show your loyal customers who have spent thousands supporting your business over years just a small amount of respect for their time by having a system that is easy to navigate? The credit card companies regularly waive a $30 fee for loyal customers who pay bills on time but have a 1-time circumstance. Honestly it took me less time to open all new accounts with my financial institution. Deplorable, GE. Catch up with the times.
