My husband and I traveled to Kenya and Tanzania in September 2024. African Odyssey did an excellent job helping us organize our two week adventure. Sam was our consultant and did a wonderful job helping us plan our trip. There were no issues with flights or connections. The itinerary he came up with was excellent, and we stayed in several wonderful camps and had amazing local guides. Our two favorite camps and parks were Tortillis camp in Amboseli, and the Laba Laba migration camp in the northern Serengeti. It was the trip of a lifetime, and we would highly recommend African Odyssey plan your safari.

My wife and I were planning on going to Tanzania for our honeymoon, wanting to do a combination of Zanzibar and Serengeti national Park. We didn’t have any precedent trip to refer to as we were the first of our family and friends to embark on this type of journey. I spoke to a few travel agents and felt that some agencies were trying to put me onto their specific agenda. On the contrary, Dave was very receptive to planning the type of trip that my wife and I desired and asked us many questions so that he could fully understand how he could cater a trip for us in particular, especially by answering questions we had as well. He has been to Tanzania many times, and it was very evident that his recommendations were coming from personal experience as well as what he saw was most fit for us based on our description. He was very easy to contact, very easy to work with, and his recommendations turned out fantastic. All the logistics that were planned domestically over there were very smooth and it really helped my wife and I have a worry-free, seamless honeymoon. Can’t recommend Dave enough - he knows what he’s doing and he doesn’t plan the same trip for everyone - he plans based on YOUR desires and preferences.

Tanzania Odyssey organized our safari trip to Tanzania in August 2021. Both camps where we stayed , Sayari and Namiri Plain deserved five stars. The whole trip went very smoothly. We will not hesitate to recommend Tanzania Odyssey to organize your future safari travel needs. Everyone in the company is very responsive, and should your contact person happens to be away, there is always someone to step up and answers your questions.

We were given excellent advice by Sam and Ted that helped shape our choice of destinations, and with their help were able to put together an itinerary that suited our whole family. We ended up with a wonderful variety of locations and activities that pleased everyone--not easy with a group of eight ranging in age from grandparents to teenage grandchildren! The destinations themselves were exceptionally good, and Siwandu, Ikuka, and Zuri Zanzibar were fabulous choices. It was a first visit to Africa for most of the family, and I know everyone came away with a lifetime's worth of wonderful memories of people, places, food and lodging, landscape, and wildlife! Thanks for helping us make this trip happen.

Dave Fuller at Tanzania Odyssey designed the perfect adventure for game drives in Tanzania. He listened to our basic requests, finding places that wouldn't put rose petals on our pillows. We stayed in tented camps, with just the right amount of time in our favorite ones: Kirurumu Camp in the Serengeti and both Mwagusi and Mdonya Camps in Ruaha. Each time, we were met by the game guides, who were simply exceptional: Muro, Emanuel, Jumanne and Imane. Walking to our tent after dinner, guided by Maasai, was memorable. You might ask them to show you their rungu, a weapon carved from ebony they use against lions.

What a different amazing holiday ! It was life changing and Odyssey made it absolutely seamless. From pick up to drop off they were on point, including a welcome with water and maps on arrival, and when our flights got cancelled and we had to add a night they facilitated this so well with the additional night and transportation to the airport, we were impressed. The choice of camps more than met our expectations. My teen children never once complained. The staff at the camps were always accommodating and willing to serve. Thank you Odyssey

Tanzania Odyssey planned and organised a phantastic trip. It was already our second trip to Africa with Tanzania Odyssey. Everything worked out just perfectly. The parks and lodges visited (Selous/Sand Rivers; Ruaha/Jabali Ridge; Zanzibar/Zuri) were all wonderful and special. There's nothing Tanzania Odyssey could have done better.

African Odyssey arranged a wonderful trip for us to Botswana and South Africa. In Botswana, we went to 3 camps - King's Pool, Jao Camp, and Mombo - and each was spectacular for very different reasons. They also arranged for our stays in South Africa at the amazing Hunter's Tsala Treetops Lodge in Plettenberg Bay and the luxurious La Residence in Franschoek. Everything worked flawlessly.

We have used Tanzania Odyssey on two occasions to book game reserve trips in Tanzania. On both occasions, the first 10 years ago, our trips have proceeded flawlessly. The staff are responsive to queries and know their business well. We had a late change when SAA cancelled a flight, but alternative arrangements were effected in short time to accommodate.
No qualms in recommending them.

Drivers were excellent and paid attention to every little detail. The Ndutu camp was fab. The lodges were great. The itinerary & transfers all worked well. Saw lots of animals close up in lush surroundings. Would suggest that Tanzania is a must on anyone’s destination list. Climate in December was perfect and best of all there were no mosquitoes.

Tanzania Odyssey prepared a safari package to Tanzania to view the Great Migration. The tour took us around the Serengeti, under canvas as well as in lodges. We had a great experience that was beyond our greatest expectations. This was our first trip to Africa, and once in Tanzania the itinerary that Dave Fuller had prepared was flawless, accommodations were all top-notch, and we were met at all stages with experienced guides and courteous staff, which helped make this a most memorable trip. We would highly recommend Tanzania Odyssey. Well Done!

OUTSTANDING.......Sam did a fabulous job in planning our Tanzania safari trip. All the locations we stayed at were top notch and transfers throughout the trip went like clockwork. I am a seasoned traveler and this ranks as one of the best companies and individual I have dealt with. A definite 10 only because I can't do 11.

I am very happy to have booked a first safari holiday with Tanzania Odyssey. First George and then Dave took al the stress of planning the trip off me, including of repeated postponements due to covid. They were both professional and easy to deal with and gave sound advice as to what would and wouldn't work. Sam was SO helpful! I ask A LOT of questions and have never used a travel agent before and Sam always answered promptly and assured me it was all planned! And of course, he was right! He listened to our needs, made amazing recommendations and ultimately planned the perfect, well-rounded honeymoon we dreamt of. :) Highly recommend!

I emailed a few operators to get some ideas for my family safari to Tanzania and not only were Tanzania Odyssey the fastest to reply, they were also the best! Ed really knew his stuff and never pushed us towards anything. The lodges were spectacular, we saw so many animals and had a private island to finish. Can't say much better than that!

Tanzania Odyssey deal patiently, thoughtfully and courteously with quite a number of problems (from my end) and made arrangements which worked out perfectly. I stayed in tented camps in Selous and Ruaha and can't recommend them highly enough. The game viewing was excellent - I watched a leopard hunting for an hour, and saw a cheetah the same day, as well as a wonderful encounter with elephants checking out the jeep. Dinner in the open by candlelight, with a big fire at each end of the table and elephants wandering past was quite magical. I'd love to go back and do it all over again.
