“Aemon’s lived too long, my lord,” Ser Alliser assured him. “His wits have gone dark as his eyes.”

“Aye,” Slynt said. “A blind man with a chain about his neck, who does he think he is?”

Aemon Targaryen, Jon thought, a king’s son and a king’s brother and a king who might have been.

Just completely obsessed with Sansa as the quintessential Arthurian damsel and Jon as her valiant knight. Sansa says true heroes don’t harm magic beasts….

In the songs, the knights never killed magical beasts, they just went up to them and touched them and did them no harm […] - Sansa III, AGoT

And Jon saved the direwolves; even sacrificing himself in the process:

“It be a mercy to kill them,” Hullen said. Bran looked to his lord father for rescue, but got only a frown, a furrowed brow. “Hullen speaks truly, son. Better a swift death than a hard one from cold and starvation.” “No!” He could feel tears welling in his eyes, and he looked away. He did not want to cry in front of his father. […]. “Lord Stark,” Jon said. It was strange to hear him call Father that, so formal. Bran looked at him with desperate hope. “There are five pups,” he told Father. “Three male, two female.” - Bran I, AGoT

Sansa thinks that true heroes dispatch of evil knights:

Frog-faced Lord Slynt sat at the end of the council table wearing a black velvet doublet and a shiny cloth-of-gold cape, nodding with approval every time the king pronounced a sentence. Sansa stared hard at his ugly face, remembering how he had thrown down her father for Ser Ilyn to behead, wishing she could hurt him, wishing that some hero would throw him down and cut off his head. - Sansa VI, AGoT

And well….

“I will not hang him,” said Jon. “Bring him here.” “Oh, Seven save us,” he heard Bowen Marsh cry out. The smile that Lord Janos Slynt smiled then had all the sweetness of rancid butter. Until Jon said, “Edd, fetch me a block,” and unsheathed Longclaw. - Jon II, ADWD

And Sansa looks for the truest of heroes to rescue the damsel:

She shouted for Ser Dontos, for her brothers, for her dead father and her dead wolf, for gallant Ser Loras who had given her a red rose once, but none of them came. She called for the heroes from the songs, for Florian and Ser Ryam Redwyne and Prince Aemon the Dragonknight, but no one heard. - Sansa IV, ACoK

And Jon is not just one, but TWO:

Every morning they had trained together, since they were big enough to walk; Snow and Stark, spinning and slashing about the wards of Winterfell, shouting and laughing, sometimes crying when there was no one else to see. They were not little boys when they fought, but knights and mighty heroes. “I’m Prince Aemon the Dragonknight,” Jon would call out, and Robb would shout back, “Well, I’m Florian the Fool.” Or Robb would say, “I’m the Young Dragon,” and Jon would reply, “I’m Ser Ryam Redwyne.” - Jon XII, ASoS

It’s all so perfect

Jaime whirled toward the sound . . . but the faint light revealed only Brienne of Tarth, her hands bound in heavy chains. "I swore to keep you safe," the wench said stubbornly. "I swore an oath." Naked, she raised her hands to Jaime. "Ser. Please. If you would be so good." The steel links parted like silk. "A sword," Brienne begged, and there it was, scabbard, belt, and all. She buckled it around her thick waist. The light was so dim that Jaime could scarcely see her, though they stood a scant few feet apart. In this light she could almost be a beauty, he thought. In this light she could almost be a knight. Brienne's sword took flame as well, burning silvery blue. The darkness retreated a little more.

ASOS (jaime VI)

They are all gone. They have abandoned me. Burning shafts hissed upward, trailing tongues of fire. Scarecrow brothers tumbled down, black cloaks ablaze. "Snow," an eagle cried, as foemen scuttled up the ice like spiders. Jon was armored in black ice, but his blade burned red in his fist. As the dead men reached the top of the Wall he sent them down to die again. He slew a greybeard and a beardless boy, a giant, a gaunt man with filed teeth, a girl with thick red hair. Too late he recognized Ygritte. She was gone as quick as she'd appeared. The world dissolved into a red mist. Jon stabbed and slashed and cut. He hacked down Donal Noye and gutted Deaf Dick Follard. Qhorin Halfhand stumbled to his knees, trying in vain to staunch the flow of blood from his neck. "I am the Lord of Winterfell," Jon screamed. It was Robb before him now, his hair wet with melting snow. Longclaw took his head off.

ADWD JON

jaime dreaming of a blue/silvery sword in a anxiety written situation packed with guilt but brienne being there vs Jon dreaming of a red flaming sword in an anxious situation packed with guilt at his worst and alone

I maybe expecting too much fairytale ending from ASOIAF but I love the theory that Vermax lay eggs in Winterfell and with time they become stones (like the Dany eggs in the beginning) and they are hidden in the crypts of Winterfell

So when Jon finally comes back to Winterfell he will find them and this will be how he discovers who his real parents are, and Dany will help them to hatch

That in the end they will rebuild the house Targaryen with dragons

I may be a little too delusional but I will hold on to it until The Winds of Winter comes out

In A Dance with Dragons, it's humorous that in spite of taking seriously his vows of taking now wives nobody seems to believe that their hot, young Lord Commander is single. It didn't help that it's public knowledge that he slept with Ygritte.

My lord, the boy's a whore … a … dare I say … a painted catamite from the brothels of Oldtown." -ADWD, Jon VIII "I will escort Her Grace to the feast. We shall not require your … steward." The way the man drew out the last word told Jon that he had been considering saying something else. Boy? Pet? Whore? -ADWD, Jon X

Marsh and Co. as well as some of the Queen's Men suspect that Jon is in a relationship with his handsome, young squire, Satin. He works with Jon a lot, and being not of noble birth, theorize that his only qualifications are his looks and previous profession of being a sex worker.

"Some say you have her tucked away for your own pleasure. It makes no matter to me, so long as she is not with child. I'll get my own sons on her. If you've broken her to saddle, well … we are both men of the world, are we not?" -ADWD, Jon X

Others like Ser Axell accuse Jon of sleeping wit Val, the "wildling princess" who draws attention from many of the men at the Wall and whom he has full access to. Of course, I think it's safe to say that plenty of them are projecting because that's what they would do. (Though the way Axell suggests it warranted a punch in the mouth.) The fact that Val clearly likes Jon for any watching would add winds to sail that ship.

They make it sound like the premise for a program on TLC or Bravo:

Black Hearts Jon: After Ygritte died and Sam left, things weren't easy. I chose to move on, but I didn't know whether I preferred blondes or brunettes, so I picked both. Val: When I first met Jon, I was already in a relationship while he . . . *whispers* he was still a maiden. Satin was no maiden, though. We make it work despite coming from opposite sides of the Wall, and bridging that cultural gap. Jon has that dark, brooding dangerous vibe that I find exciting while Satin has that sweet, cool, somewhat feminine vibe I can chill with. As to where Jon gets it from, I think he probably gets it from his father. Satin: I guess with Jon and Val being alphas, someone needed to be the beta. I like to think that I'm the Rhaenys to his Aegon and her Visenya. To be honest, I never expected to find love at the Wall when I took the black, but I guess when it gets cold outside, it's natural to huddle up for warmth.
