Sorry if this is a weird question, but are there any rules to making an idolsona group?

Hi! A lot of idolsona groups start out strong but tend to fade away after a while. There are no strict rules, but these are tips that we reccomend.

  • Deadlines

It’s good to have established deadlines & a schedule. It keeps things organized and ensures you have steady content! Try to stick with a schedule, even if you slip up a couple times. Having a schedule and slipping up a few times is better than sporadically posting content.

  • Organization

I believe this is one of the most important things to maintain a functional group Our group has a seperate channel for finished card edits & a drive folder with toooons of information, such as card tables, a list of our planned sets etc! It makes accessing information easy and saves a *lot* of scrolling in discord.

  • Active members

Another key point, active members. This doesn’t mean that they’re online 24/7, but they should be online whenever important information is shared/discussed or respond when they’re @’ed. Consequentially, if a member misses deadlines and is inactive, it might be better to kick them & find a new, active member. It might sound harsh, but it’s fairer for the group.

  • Communication

This one kind of falls in line with the above point, but your members should be able to easily chat with eachother and bring up any occuring problems.

We highly recommend using discord to talk to eachother. Discord has the option to create multiple channels, so you can have dedicated channels for discussions, images, information etc. I personally prefer discord bcause it’s very organized. If I need to find specific information regarding our next set, I simply go into #set-info. Whereas, say, in a Instagram groupchat, you have to read everything to find what you need. Groups that use discord tend to have more longevity than IG groups in my experience.

While it is good to be motivated and plan a lot of ideas, be careful not to overwhelm your members. It is an idolsona group after all, the main purpose is to have fun with it!

Good luck with your group if you are planning on starting one!

I didn’t realize the last layout I reblogged was mentioning SayoHina… As I don’t know if it was in a sibling relationship way, I preffered deleting it. I’m really sorry if anyone got triggered / offended, cause I know myself that I am triggered as hell when I see SayoHina. I’ll be more attentive to what I reblog in the future.

Yes yes yes. Same with me when I see Ako x Tomoe and Sayo x Hina. T r i g g e r e d
