Liking the looks of that setup. Those DropStarts look nice. How you liking them? What's your lift and what's the offset on the rims and tire size? Any rubbing? Sorry for all the questions but I'm trying to figure out what to put on mine. Thanks.

I have a 2017 Tundra Platinum 4x4. Running a 7" pro comp lift with Fox 2.5" Coil-overs, Icon Upper Control Arms, Ekstrom Designs coachbuilder shim, steering end and billet shackle extensions. I stayed all the parts I have first because running my tire size would be almost problematic without doing the upgraded components I have. I'm running Fuel 22"x12" forged wheels with a -51 offset. Tire are Toyo Open Country M/T 37/22/13.5. I wanted a 13.5 tire to help give the rims more sidewall protection. Typically most 12" wide one pc or two pc rims are a -44 offset but Forged having a bigger lip and offset. I also decided on spiked lug nuts for looks and you have to have a special extra long socket to get them off.

I wish he could. For whatever reason, he has elected not to do the flares.

Man. That sucks. Oh well. Still can't wait to get my grille and get that on. Will have to figure out the flares when the time comes. Thanks.

Ok Im in need of some help with tire and rime size for the set up that I want. Went to a local shop and told them I wanted a aggressive stance but not looking to stick out past an inch out side of fender. I am getting a 3/1 leveling kit installed and this is what they recommended. Rim : 20x9 5x5.5 5x150 + 1mm offset 5" backspacing. Tires : 275/65/20 34.1 tall x 11 wide. My question is the rims and tires that the shop is recommending seems to be the same size as the stock rims and tires that came on the crewmax. How will that give me a aggressive stance and also with the leveling kit do I need to look to go bigger to fill in the wheel well and if so how big can I go without excessive trimming and or cutting. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Stock 20s are +50 offset. The +1 offset the shop is recommending will stick out 2 inches further than stock. I had 275/65/20s with +18 offset and it only stock out past the fender a little bit. Your +1s will stick out a bit further. But, my biggest complaint about the 275/65/20s is that they looked too skinny. Before my lift, I had 275/60/20s and it looked ok, but once lifted, it didn't look right IMO. I took those off and went to a 295/60/20. Same overall diameter, just wider.

Be prepaid to do some trimming with the +1 offset.

Thanks for the info. And I didn't even think about what you said. I guess I have to look for beefier tires because I don't like the look of the huge gap around the wheel. Thanks again and Ill post some pics as soon as I get the truck looking right!

Have been following this thread a while now, thank you guys for all the great info! Almost done dialing in my setup. Can I get a few final opinions?
    2012 Tundra 2WD
    3/1 level kit
    20x9 Fuel Assault wheels
    295/60/20 Terra Grappler G2's
Can I make it work with 1 offset? If that's questionable, can I make it work with 20 offset? These wheels are available in 1, 20, and -18.
I rather not have to trim or remove anything at all, but minor plastic-only work may be OK.

    Thanks!

OK, just got here. Yes, I already did the "New Member" thing.

My apologies if this has been answered. If so, please post the linkee.

2006 2WD just bought it with 110,000 miles.

    The factory placard states:
    P245/70R16
    The X-SP placard states:
    P275/55R18
    Currently on the front:
    P265/65R18
    Currently on the rear:
    P265/60R18
    Currently on the spare:
    P245/70R16

    Rim is 18x9?

Wonder if the 'puter got updated for the 18's?

    HoleeSheet am I confused.

    I need tires.

Thinking I would get some Winter tires now and in the Spring get some Summer tires. I can find some tire/rim for sale on Craig's List. But I have no idea of interchangeability.

Do I get some beater rims for Winter and keep the current rims for Summer? First time living this far North (Fredericksburg VA).

What to do about the 16" spare?

    Suggestions?
    Opinions?
    Thoughts?
    Ideas?
    ...?

There's not much of a difference between the stock tire diameter and what you have now. Personally, I would just go with an all-terrain rated by the Rubber Manufacturer's Association for severe snow use like the Falken A/T or BFG A/T and only have one set of wheels and tires. The spare tire is probably not safe to use anymore, throw it out. I believe in having a matching spare and doing five tire rotations.

2/0 leveling kit, 305/55R20's on BBS wheels
I came across this thread researching tire sizes for my 2013. I've been running 305/55R20 Nitto Terra Grappler AT's on BBS wheels, 2" leveling kit (zero lift in back) with no spacers, no trimming, no rub. I've had them on for 50k miles and am about to replace them, not sure wether to go with this same size or a 295/60R20. I just thought I should post my setup in case others want to run this size but like me, don't want to run a lift.

Going with a similar set up. I was wondering about rubbing issues with that tire size and backspacing?

I needed new tires anyway so I thought I'd go ahead and do the Level 8 MK6 wheel with BFG tires, leveling kit and Bilstein shocks front and rear. Really enjoying the setup, and it sure changed the look of the truck!

Hey y'all, new here and had some questions. Has anyone removed the stock fender flares? They make my tires look tiny but I'm concerned about the holes in the fender wall. Should be installing a 3" lift soon and trying to fit some 33" tires under there. IMG_0321.jpgIMG_0438.jpg

Lots of great information on this page. I've been researching until my eyes bleed....here's my question.

I have a 2014 tundra crewmax limited, with a 3 inch lift. I want to keep my stock wheels (20 inch with 60mm offset). Will 295/65r20s fit without rubbing? Or, what tire size can I use without rubbing?
