
Federal Urdu University Studensts On Protest Against Vacating Of Building

The students of Federal Urdu University of Arts Science & Technology(FUUAST) here on Tuesday protested against the final notice of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) for vacating its rented building immediately
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2018 ) :The students of Federal Urdu University of Arts Science & Technology(FUUAST) here on Tuesday protested against the final notice of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) for vacating its rented building immediately.
The students have demanded of the authorities concerned for quick action to resolve the issue' saying that university management is not taking serious interest in resolving the matter. Currently, the university has continued its classes in a rented building taken from WAPDA and the owner institution has sent a notice to the university management to vacate it for not paying the rent since few months.
The vacant of building would halt the educational activities of around 5000 students of the university, their future is at risk, the protestors said.
However, the students also demanded for the registration of the electrical engineering department of the federal urdu university with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association(FAPUASA) has also protested against the arrest of 24 teachers of Federal Urdu University by police in Karachi. FAPUASA, President Islamabad chapter Shahzad Ashraf while talking to APP said that the teacher's union has demanded for immediately release of the arrested teachers by Sindh government.
He also demanded for immediately registration of the department of electrical engineering of the federal urdu university.
