If you want to work remotely from Portugal, it is possible to obtain a temporary stay visa and a residence permit to carry out your professional activity, for an entity based outside the national territory.

To obtain a visa, you must follow the legal procedures, according to the Portuguese entities that you should consult for more information, but in summary:

- You must demonstrate the employment relationship, presenting the employment or service contract.
- You must present a document proving your tax legal residency.

Bear in mind that it is only mandatory to obtain a digital nomad visa if the period of stay is longer than the tourist visa, which in most cases allows you to stay in the country for up to 180 days.
