Mobile Ballasted Flocculation Clarifier
High-Rate Clarification and Sedimentation with Chemical Feed
Our mobile ballasted flocculation unit is a high-rate clarification unit that combines flocculation and sedimentation process in a compact and portable system. The process includes the addition of coagulant to the raw water to destabilize suspended particles. It is followed by mixing with polymer and recycled microsand. These ballasts enhance the settling of the flocs, allowing for rapid sedimentation and clarification of the water. The solids are directed to waste while the separated sand is reintroduced into the initial flocculation tank.
These units offer flexibility and scalability, making it suitable for temporary or emergency applications while providing efficient removal of contaminants. Units can be deployed and at your location within days.

Power Plant Chooses Reliable Mobile Solution
A Southeastern U.S. power plant needed short and long-term solutions for coal ash pond dewatering and wastewater treatment, with influent TSS concentrations up to 3,000 mg/L. They chose WesTech's Mobile and Temporary Systems for both, ensuring reliability and flexibility in operations.
Temporary System Best Solution for Power Plant
A retired power plant in the Southeast U.S. chose WesTech's fully operated mobile solution for decommissioning rather than investing in permanent equipment. The three-year contract includes a treatment train with a 750 gpm capacity, reducing TSS, mercury, and arsenic from coal ash pond water. WesTech's system, supported by a technician, runs efficiently and cleanly, offering flexibility for scaling.
