Dr Yasmin Ali Haque
Biography
Dr Yasmin Ali Haque is currently Chair of the Global Advisory Board for WomenLift Health, an initiative dedicated to catalyzing systemic change in global health to achieve gender equality in leadership. In recent years she has also chaired the Portfolio Advisory Committee for UN Girls Education Initiative. Dr Haque’s leadership and professional experience spans over 30 years in a wide range of fields including policy analysis and strategic planning for reducing maternal mortality, child-centric development programming, and, large-scale responses for children and their families in humanitarian crises.
Dr Haque trained at Dhaka Medical College and holds an MSc in Health Systems Management from London University. Starting her UNICEF career in home country Bangladesh, Yasmin has held leadership roles in Sri Lanka, Ghana, South Sudan, headquarter office of emergency programmes, and India.
A passionate advocate of realising the rights of women and children, she revels in opportunities to share the learning and experience from her career. Yasmin enjoys spending time with loved ones, experimenting with various cuisine, indulging in reading fiction, travelling and discovering new adventures.
