Report of the first meeting of the strategic and technical advisory group for mental health, brain health and substance use

Overview

In the context of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) agenda and WHO’s triple billion goals to maximise country impact, a Strategic and Technical Advisory Group on Mental Health - WHO established a Brain Health and Substance Use (STAG-MNS) to advise the WHO Director-General on matters related to MNS conditions. The STAG-MNS will support WHO’s goal to advance SDG 2030 health-related targets, in particular, targets 3.4 and 3.5 to promote mental health and well-being and strengthen the prevention and treatment of substance.
