Montreal Park (Q6906313) classified as goods and services
[edit]As a former estate, it is (or was) a good. Swpb (talk) 20:16, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- But it is not now, right? Either "estate" requires some ending qualifier or not all estates are goods/services Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 11:29, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- I can't remember where I read this, but statements are supposed to be considered valid if they were ever true, even if they are not true at present. Since all estates are goods, and Montreal Park was at one time (and possibly still is?) an estate, the inferred statement Montreal Park (Q6906313)instance of (P31)goods and services (Q2897903) is valid, although Montreal Park (Q6906313)instance of (P31)estate (Q12292478) should ideally have an end time (P582). Swpb (talk) 13:48, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- End time would be enough to mark that it is currently not (and my tool should be smart enough to use it) Mateusz Konieczny (talk) 17:26, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- Based on the start time of 1952 for the housing development, I put a latest date (P1326) of 1952 on the instance of (P31) estate (Q12292478) claim. That could certainly be refined with sourcing, but it's accurate (if vague) and establishes that the item is not currently an estate. Swpb (talk) 15:19, 14 July 2023 (UTC)

- I disagree that it is fixed: now they are instances of hypothetical entity (Q18706315) (entity whose existence is possible, but not proven). In my opinion the best approach would be to separate fact from fiction/legend: one item for the historical person (where all statements are based on factual (scholarly/academic) sources), one item for its representation in the bible, linked via fictional or mythical analog of (P1074).
