This Wikibase database is the backbone of Biblissima, which presents itself as a digital infrastructure for the research of ancient text's transmission from Antiquity to Renaissance both in Orient and in Occident. It covers a wide array of entities, from person to places, organizations and manuscripts, with works and iconographic descriptors planned. While it has few data of its own, it links to numerous external IDS, including Wikidata, via ad hoc properties (for which perhaps another property could be created). Founded by numerous French research units, it is backed by various scientific organizations at national level. Overall, this database can offer a robust authority control.
