Motivation
[edit]The Deutsches Zeitungsportal (German Newspaper Portal) gives access to digitized historical newspapers from German cultural and scientific institutions and provides various search options, including full-text. The portfolio is to be continually expanded, and, in the long run, is expected to comprise all digitised historical newspapers which are stored in German cultural and scientific institutions. Cross-linking items from Wikidata with ressources in the Deutsches Zeitungsportal therefore provides the means for various forms of authority controll, and opens a whole new dimension of possible general applications in Wikidata.
