Motivation
[edit]Games Database (Q79236313) is a database of 50,000+ video games. Between its former domain (gamesdbase.com) and the current one, there is decent usage on Wikipedias − they use the slug form (such as game/nintendo-game-boy-color/tetris-dx
) however the internal ID is accessible in the source code of the page and seems more stable. These entries are per-platform-realization, ans so one of our Q7889 items may map to more than one entry. Entries have links to the MAME ROM name (P2451) (which will help for initial matching), as well as to The Old School Emulation Center (Q7671047) and No-Intro project (which I still have to figure out if/how to integrate). - @Jean-Frédéric: I tried to create this property but an automatic check failed: example value " 1008191" does not match regular expression
\d+
. Please fix your proposal and your property will be created shortly. This is an automated message but do not hesitate to ping me if you need any help. − Pintoch (talk) 11:45, 14 January 2020 (UTC)- @Pintoch: Hmmm, as far as I can see,
\d+
does match `1008191` no? Is that a leading space issue? I changed the regex to[1-9]\d*
(which may or may not be better ^_^). Jean-Fred (talk) 12:32, 14 January 2020 (UTC)
