Motivation
[edit]Version 3 of Homosaurus was released in September 2021. This initial version is the same as Homosaurus V2 but uses a more standard identifier sequence. To migrate from Homosaurus V2, there is a "replacedBy" field that points to equivalent Homosaurus V3 term. The Homosaurus V3 term added a "replaces" field that points to the Homosaurus V2 term. The Homosaurus V2 can still be accessed at https://homosaurus.org/v2. Since both versions 2 and 3 are available, a new property is needed for version 3, as the identifiers are different. - Support Homosaurus is a widely adopted thesaurus in the GLAM domain; keeping up with updates and properly tracking the source is important Cdezelar (talk) 17:49, 8 December 2021 (UTC)

- Comment why not cut out "homoit" as it's always the same. Germartin1 (talk) 22:21, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
- We could do that, but it is actually part of the identifier and would certainly be easier to include when copying it from the thesaurus. UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 00:51, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
- Question As these are vocabulary items, should the ID not be applied to lexeme space? --SilentSpike (talk) 18:27, 24 December 2021 (UTC)

- @Pamputt: I assume this should not apply to the Lexeme space then? (Apologies, it's the area I'm least familiar with so useful to know when reviewing future proposals) SilentSpike (talk) 12:05, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
- @SilentSpike: I think it should not since the items are about concept while lexemes are about words. So for example transgender studies (Q17014367) is clearly not a lexeme. Pamputt (talk) 12:16, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
