"Picturized"
[edit]picturized?? what does that mean? couldn't you just say music video, or if picturization is some kind of bollywood specific term, give at least a gloss on what it means? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.157.224.14 (talk) 17:01, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- It's a quite common term in Indian English: http://www.google.co.in/search?q=%22song+picturised%22 -- I'm not so sure about other varieties. If you've a better word for it, go ahead and change the article. I think "filmed on" might be a good replacement. utcursch | talk 14:44, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Not considered a music video. It's part of the film itself. Fireblazex3 (talk) 06:36, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Dum Maro Dum (song) → Dum Maro Dum – Easily the primary topic, given the song's iconic status in India, the fact that the 2011 film was named after this song (which it contains a remix of), and the two dabs situation. Kailash29792 (talk) 03:27, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose sorry but this a classic case of a justifiable WP:TWODABS where two dabs is allowed and working perfectly. The more encyclopaedic long term subject (song) falls under second half of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, while the recent more popular subject (film) gets twice as many page views. And the dab page barely gets views showing it causes no problem, while letting the dab-bot do its job. This is a perfect situation, why fix it? In ictu oculi (talk) 08:11, 28 March 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose per In ictu oculi. No clear primary topic. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 14:49, 30 March 2017 (UTC)

– No other song with this same name exists. The spelling of the title of the 2011 film is different. Oracle of Delhi 15:10, 30 January 2020 (UTC)—Relisting. DannyS712 (talk) 23:05, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

- Support. Move Dum Maro Dum (song) → Dum Maro Dum. Move Dum Maaro Dum (film) → Dum Maaro Dum. Put a

hatnote at each article. Delete Dum Maro Dum (disambiguation). A disambiguation page is not required. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 17:49, 31 January 2020 (UTC) - Support--as above, just distinguish the two pages from each other with a hatnote, no need for a separate disambig page. - Oppose. "Dum Maro Dum" and "Dum Maaro Dum" are I assume just two different transliterations from Hindi, and not genuine differences as required by WP:SMALLDETAILS. There are plenty of sources which spell the film as "Dum Maro Dum",[1][2][3] and also several that spell the song as "Dum Maaro Dum".[4][5][6] Overall, a dab page with clear (song) and (film) indicators (which are also visible in the search box) is vastly better for readers. — Amakuru (talk) 17:01, 7 February 2020 (UTC)
- Comment. Partially agree with you @Amakuru. But in this case the song is clearly the primary topic. Even the film was named after the song. I am aware that page views may suggest otherwise, but this song is one of the most iconic songs in Indian film history unlike the largely forgotten film. A vast majority of the Indian population won't even know about the film but it is more likely that they would instantly recognise the song. If a disambiguator is necessary, I believe it would only be apt for the film article. Since there are only two pages, hatnotes can make the rest easier. I think a redirect to Dum Maro Dum from Dum Maaro Dum (song article) and another to Dum Maaro Dum (film) from Dum Maro Dum (film) would solve the search box issue. Oracle of Delhi 23:50, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- User:Oracle of Delhi the page views do indeed suggest otherwise. There are two criteria to consider when assessing a WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, common usage and long-term significance. The page views suggest that right now, the film is more sought after and therefore likely more references in common usage than the song. But equally, as you say, the song has greater enduring notability. So that means there isn't really a primary topic between the two and a disambiguation page is correct. Keeping the (film) and (song) disambiguators also has the advantage of making it clear from search results which of the two the user will end up at. Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 09:43, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Strong oppose the English song article is just spelling the Hindi wrong: दम मारो दम has a long aa, maaro, same as the film. There's no primary here and removing song is unhelpful, and moving the dab very unhelpful. In ictu oculi (talk) 08:46, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
