CE vs. AD
[edit]I personally find the use of "Common Era" dating confusing. I actually had no idea what CE was until I did a little research. I think that the use of AD is much more widely recognized and thus easier to understand. I recommend replacing CE with AD. I don't know if Wikipedia has a standard mode of dating, but I couldn't find one. I think it is best though if the community maintains consistency with its use dating formats and from my experience that means using AD. Please discuss this though.

- This has already been discussed at great length at WT:MOSNUM (search archives for "CE AD" or similar). The consensus is that each style is acceptable as long as it is used consistently in a single article, and that styles should not be changed needlessly within one article (more fully given at WP:ERA).
