Notability
[edit]I note that the article has been marked by a notability template without a proper text in this talk page. Why is it not notable? For the reason of mechanically applying a policy? While reliable secondary sources is a good thing, the fact that I surfed to here in order to find an alternative to the bloated malformed C98 libc is an indication of the inherent notability of the article ― one might reasonably wish to have 2ndary sources on topics in general in WP. However: for software, this shouldn't be erected a requirement in order to allow the article a continuing existence, because the software users tend to communicate with the primary source of the software, and otherwise be almost silent. I believe the notability policy should be executed by a certain care as regards to software, so in order to provocate awareness of this care, I'm now, without searching consensus, provocatively going to remove the notability template. ... said: Rursus (bork²) 18:16, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Spelling of the subject of this article
[edit]Is it "newlib" or "Newlib"? Both are currently used. --Mortense (talk) 22:59, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Newlib. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20090302160344/http://www.codesourcery.com:80/sgpp/features.html to http://www.codesourcery.com/sgpp/features.html
- Added archive http://web.archive.org/web/20110708165815/http://www.cm3tools.com/CodeRedWiki/CLibrary to http://www.cm3tools.com/CodeRedWiki/CLibrary
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).

newlib-nano looks dead
[edit]The newlib-nano had last code change on 2014-04-06 and it's website (http://32bitmicro.com/) does not exist any more; it looks positively dead. Maybe it should be noted when referencing it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.110.38.73 (talk) 10:31, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
