I don't understand this bit:

"as businesses expanded and women moved into higher paying jobs. Tea ladies are not commonly found today except in very small businesses."

as I would have thought that the smaller the business, the less likely they were to be able to afford a tea lady. I work for a small business and I make my own tea, thank you very much :-) 217.155.20.163 23:11, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Other countries

Always a lady?

How can we be sure every "tea lady" was a lady?

I propose renaming the page "Tea attendant" but do not know how.
