Description of suggested change: Please remove the link to "Terrorism in Israel" until a suitable article is created. Currently Terrorism in Israel is a redirect to Timeline of the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. While the redirect is there for historical reasons, it's a violation of NPOV to imply that terrorism in Israel is inherently linked to Palestine, since the phenomenon actually encompasses also far-right terrorism, Jewish extremist terrorism, criminal terror, etc.

Alternatively, please consider retargeting Terrorism in Israel or nominating it for deletion as a bad redirect. — kashmīrī TALK 11:25, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you nominate the article for deletion at WP:RFD if you think it should be deleted. It can't be deleted from this template without removing all other countries too — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:39, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the edit request is not feasible. There is no direct link to that title within the template, but rather {{Asia topic|___}} automatically produces a link to [[___ Israel|Israel]] (and a corresponding link for each country) based on whatever prefix is put in ___. So this edit request is about {{Asia topic|Terrorism in}} behaving as intended (for example, at Terrorism in Pakistan#External links). Instead, the redirect Terrorism in Israel would need to be nominated at WP:RfD if you want to remove the bluelink. SilverLocust 💬 04:27, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This redirect was created in 2007 probably to provide a link in this Asia topic navbar, and its target has been bandied about a little since then. If the redirect is deleted, it will probably just be re-created later down the road. It appears that the best solution is to find the best target for the Terrorism in Israel redirect, which may well be accomplished at RfD. The Terrorism in Israel redirect has been nominated to find a better target or other solution at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2024 February 26#Terrorism in Israel. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 05:23, 26 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The decision at RfD is to turn the redirect into a dab page, for example see the Israel link at Terrorism in India. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 23:47, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

At present, clicking on the "Azerbaijan" link is redirecting to Irreligion in Azerbaijan. Please change it to Secularism in Azerbaijan. Dympies (talk) 18:07, 8 June 2024 (UTC) Dympies (talk) 18:07, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Dympies: When I click "Azerbaijan", it takes me to Azerbaijan, which seems correct. The only template that I see linking to Irreligion in Azerbaijan is Template:Religion in Azerbaijan. Rjjiii (talk) 22:57, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Rjjiii, please check the page Secularism in Azerbaijan. In the bottom, you will find a template in which most of the Asian countries are listed. On clicking, Azerbaijan, we get redirected to Irreligion in Azerbaijan. I want it to redirect to Secularism in Azerbaijan instead. Please help me out. Dympies (talk) 10:38, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can't replicate this, it appears as the normal circular link to me. CMD (talk) 11:54, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like someone fixed it. If I go to the bottom of Secularism in Georgia (country) and click the "Azerbaijan" link, I am taken to Secularism in Azerbaijan. – Jonesey95 (talk) 19:11, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have no clue how to solve the link to the disambiguation page Romani people in Iran in this template (the version: Romani people in Asia). More then likely, linking to Romani people in Iran (disambiguation) can solve the issue. I have nor the knowledge nor the rights to do that. The Banner talk 23:16, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The dab page at Romani people in Iran should probably not contain a link to Persian Romani, since that page is about a spoken language. The Ghorbati are apparently not Romani people. The Zargari tribe are apparently the only actual Romani in Iran, according to the articles I have found on Wikipedia, so I would convert Romani people in Iran into a redirect to that latter page. [Edited to add: After looking at the history of that dab page, I have reverted to its original version, which appears to have been a correct redirect.] – Jonesey95 (talk) 00:50, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Another approach but it works too. Thank you very much. The Banner talk 10:24, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I was hoping I could remove all of the countries marked in Red, which include much of the states with limited recognition and all the Dependencies, with the exception of adding Armenia, Jordan, Russia, Iran, and Georgia's respective pages for Assyrians in these countries. Surayeproject3 (talk) 04:18, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: This is a general use template, it cannot be adjusted for specific entries, although you can remove dependencies through "countries_only=yes". CMD (talk) 06:14, 17 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So I wouldn't be able to add any of the countries with those Wikipedia pages at all? How would I start editing the template to remove dependencies, as well? Surayeproject3 (talk) 18:41, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Correction for the first question, I mean link the text to their Wikipedia pages that exist presently. Surayeproject3 (talk) 18:42, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If a page exists on the topic, or even a section, creating a redirect is the way to go. CMD (talk) 15:59, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

With the recent move of East Timor to Timor-Leste, could someone please update this template accordingly? Supporting articles are in the process of being moved. Cheers, Turnagra (talk) 03:56, 25 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

We can't change {{Iso2country/data}} yet; we have to wait for the page moves to be complete, including category moves. If we change it before the page moves are done, we will cause red links in the templates. For example, if you go to Capital punishment in Cyprus and look the navbox, the link to Capital punishment in East Timor works, but Capital punishment in Timor-Leste would be a red link. Once the page moves are done, come back here, or go directly to the talk page for {{Iso2country/data}}, and add an edit request. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:28, 25 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
