Already Done

[edit]

Nice work on the "Already Done" article, oh whoops I meant "Already Gone" lol. I think I read somewhere that Tedder even said that he prefers AG to Halo. Are you planning on including it in the article? I don't think I saw it in there. Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 10:08, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thank you! I haven't actually read that, which is why it isn't there. Do you have a link? Matthewedwards :  Chat  17:34, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's A LOT of information regarding the song in his interview with Idolator. And for some additional info on the aftermath, Clarkson vaguely said here, "But one thing she doesn’t want is a big name producer. She admitted: “I don’t like working with people who have worked with everyone. “Sometimes I get blackmailed into doing so by my label, but I prefer collaboring with people who aren’t on the grid. I don’t want to sound exactly like other people’s records." I guess due to WP:Synth we can't say she was referring to Tedder, but we could state that she doesn't want to work with big names anymore. Finally, she also recorded a song "Wash, Rinse, Repeat" about the whole situation. Thankfully, it's been covered by reliable sources, one here, and Tedder even responded to the song! He said that although he knew that it was an attack on him, he actually liked it and is writing for Clarkson again. However, Clarkson denied this, but this hasn't been covered by a RS. I don't know how much of this aftermath drama you're going to include, but it seems really interesting so I think adding most of it would be quite good. Thank you! :) I will try to work these interviews into the article shortly. Best, Matthewedwards :  Chat  18:27, 9 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. Good luck with the FAC! Corn.u.co.piaDisc.us.sion 05:37, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Assistance with first article

[edit]

I'd like to get a great deal of assistance (brand new user) on posting first article. It's on my organization, and I'm attempting to keep the POV and 'just the facts' portion straight and keep it short and direct. Could you assist? Andrewtull (talk) 21:14, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

WikiCup 2010 June newsletter

[edit]

We're half way through 2010, and the end of the WikiCup is in sight! Round 3 is over, and we're down to our final 16. Our pool winners were Ian Rose (submissions) (A), Colorado Sturmvogel_66 (submissions) (B, and the round's overall leader), Colombia ThinkBlue (submissions) (C) New South Wales Casliber (submissions) and New Orleans TonyTheTiger (submissions) (D, joint), but, with the scores reset, everything is to play for in our last pooled round. The pools will be up before midnight tonight, and have been selected randomly by J Milburn. This will be the toughest round yet, and so, as ever, anything you worry may not receive the necessary attention before the end of the round (such as outstanding GA or FA nominations) is welcome at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, and please remember to continue offering reviews yourself where possible. As always, the judges are available to contact via email, IRC or their talk pages, and general discussion about the Cup is welcome on the WikiCup talk page.

Though unaffiliated with the WikiCup, July sees the third Great Wikipedia Dramaout- a project with not dissimilar goals to the WikiCup. Everyone is welcome to take part and do their bit to contribute to the encyclopedia itself.

If you're interested in the scores for the last round of the Cup, please take a look at Wikipedia:WikiCup/History/2010/Round 3 and Wikipedia:WikiCup/History/2010/Full/Round 3. Our thanks go to Bavaria Stone (submissions) for compiling these. As was predicted, Group C ended up the "Group of Death", with 670 points required for second place, and, therefore, automatic promotion. This round will probably be even tougher- again, the top two from each of the two groups will make it through, while the twelve remaining participants will compete for four wildcard places- good luck everyone!
