The result was delete and redirect to Insurgency weapons and tactics. This should preferably have been listed at MfD, but the outcome is the same. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:51, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

This is not a useful disambiguation title, because there are no categories of weapons that are categorized in reliable sources as specifically being "insurgency" weapons. Any weapon that happens to be in the possession of insurgents could be called an insurgency weapon, from sticks and rocks to tanks, fighter jets, and nuclear bombs. If there were a discernible category of "insurgency weapons" then the appropriate treatment would be to have an article on the topic, but in reality "insurgency weapon" basically just means Weapon. bd2412 T 16:55, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
- Redirect to Insurgency weapons and tactics - I agree it has no purpose as a disambiguation page, but it is something someone might search for. —МандичкаYO 😜 18:18, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

- Redirect as per previous comment. The term "insurgency weapons", apparently popularised by gun designer Robert Hillberg to refer to simple, cheap and reliable firearms,[1][2] doesn't seem very notable, although it's valid as a description of weapons used by insurgents. The Hillberg concept is already under Insurgency_weapons_and_tactics#Purpose-built_insurgency_weapons, and the more general concept is discussed in the rest of that article (certain weapons are strongly associated with insurgencies and guerilla movements, most iconically perhaps the AK-47[3][4]). This is not an appropriate disambiguation page, since the topic only has one meaning and disambiguation pages shouldn't normally list examples. Colapeninsula (talk) 16:10, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Redirect to Insurgency weapons and tactics is the best option. Also, the Insurgency weapons and tactics has links to the other 4 pages listed.--RAF910 (talk) 16:23, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Redirect per all above. Boleyn (talk) 19:50, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- Note - I have no objection to redirecting to Insurgency weapons and tactics, per all above. bd2412 T 21:30, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
- OK, since it's very solidly in favor of redirect, I think you can go ahead and just boldly do that and close the AfD —МандичкаYO 😜 03:19, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
