- File:TheFireflyFringeScreenshot.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by RHM22 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
Non-free TV episode screenshot. Random scene, showing two characters talking in a nondescript situation. Not embedded in analytical commentary, no signs of being particularly recognisable or representative of the episode, not the object of explicit discussion, not needed for understanding the article. The FUR claims part of its use is to show one character is wearing a particular kind of T-shirt. That, surely, is a new low in NFCC#8 arguments. Fut.Perf. ☼ 16:02, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm the uploader of this file, so there's no need for me to !vote on this, but I will give my reasoning for uploading it with the FUR. Firstly, the character lying down (Peter) is doing so because he accidentally consumed a serum that caused seizures, which was arguably the central point to the episode (the entire story revolved around making sure Walter did not drink the serum). Secondly, the T-shirt is mentioned because the band logo is from the fictional band which Walter reminisces about throughout the episode.-RHM22 (talk) 16:43, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep It dosen't seem like a "new low" to me, it's well justifed by the text and the uploader makes a convincing enough arguemment. Sven Manguard Wha? 18:26, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Can you please specify how exactly you find this "justified" and "convinding enough"? What exactly would be difficult to understand about the verbal description "X is seen wearing a shirt with the logo of band Y"? What would be difficult to understand about the verbal description "X lies down on a couch because he feels sick, while Y sits by his side and offers him a bowl of soup"? Why would we need an image to understand either idea? Fut.Perf. ☼ 22:27, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - bloke lying on couch; nother block sitting on couch holding a soup bowl. I see nothing about the image that tells me more than this. I see no serum, seizures, nor need for the band logo t-shirt to be displayed for me to adequately understand the article about this episode. The result was Delete - sole editor seeking to keep the image has not addressed the deletion rationale. I also note that EBE123 has removed the image from the article in the past day or so - Peripitus (Talk) 10:24, 26 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free episode screenshot of a cartoon series. Not embedded in analytical commentary, not needed to understand anything in the article. Purely decorative infobox use. Fails NFCC#8. Fut.Perf. ☼ 16:04, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free TV episode screenshot from a cartoon series. Apparently random scene, not the object of analytical commentary, not needed to understand the article, purely decorative infobox use. Article consists mostly of an almost unreadable, extremely poor quality plot renarration. Fut.Perf. ☼ 16:10, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep - a sports team logo with a perfectly good fair-use rationale. Furthermore I see no actual proof that "Dave Phoenix" owns the rights to what appears to be generic clip-art. —BETTIA— talk 19:08, 18 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- I think that the nominator is saying that it came from "davephoenix.com" and not the listed source, which, for the sake of discussion, is a dead link. Sven Manguard Wha? 18:21, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
