KuhnstylePro was indef'd after this AN/I thread turned up multiple cases of WP:MADEUP/WP:HOAX content being added to articles, or created, with a walled garden of additional stuff-made-up-one-day in his userspace against WP:NOTWEBHOST - and then more, major WP:HOAX creation was uncovered and soundly thrashed. Tonight I looked up the hoax on Google out of curiousity to see if there were any changes - and discovered the exact same content being added to the userspace of newly-created user Sonic4Hire (presumably copied from the wikia this user has for his hoax(!) making it WP:COPYVIO to boot). Blocked as the largest and loudest of ducks with vuvuzela-like megaphones; requesting a CU to check for sleepers, as it appears this isn't going to be someone who goes away quietly. KuhnstylePro was blocked Feb 19, 2013. Donutcreek1 created account Feb 27, 2013. Donutcreek1 is adding dubious and possibly fake future series names to lists as did KuhnstylePro. KuhnstylePro added Calvin and Hobbes here and Donutcreek1 added I didn't do it here, both bogus TV series or movies. Geraldo Perez (talk) 05:27, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm not sure this is him. So far, I've been able to confirm that all of the shows he is adding to the various articles exist; while the editing pattern does look very suspicious, the hoaxing is not there. If this is him, he's not hoaxing (yet) but he shouldn't be socking. - The Bushranger One ping only 06:27, 26 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm declining the CU request per the fact I don't see any actual evidence how the two accounts might belong to the same individual, and per Bushranger's comment. Feel free to re-request it within this SPI if more evidence comes to light, but to pull the CU trigger at this stage feels more like a fishing expedition. Unlike the account above, this account  Sounds like a duck quacking into a megaphone to me - it has, so far, edited only to create and spread hoaxes, and its most recent edits tip off that it's KuhnstylePro: claiming a creation by Frederator Studios (note also the infobox lifted wholesale from Adventure Time). The quacking is loud enough that I've blocked; even if it isn't him, the hoaxing indicates he's WP:NOTHERE. Requesting a CU for confirmation and a sleeper check as this account has been active all month and there may be others. The Bushranger One ping only 03:25, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

CheckUser data is not particularly helpful in establishing whether or not this is KuhnstylePro, but there is definitely quacking, and none of these accounts - which are all  Confirmed with each other - suggest that this individual is here to build an encyclopaedia. While these don't seem to have quite the same sophistication as the elaborate hoax KuhnstylePro spun, I did, while looking through these accounts' contributions, come across Cool & Crazy Cartoons - which, checking Google on a hunch about, found this; the "Wikias for fake shows" is another indicator that, combined with the others, inclined me to say this is as close to a behavioral confirmation as can be gotten. - The Bushranger One ping only 17:30, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a duck quacking into a megaphone to me This account was actually created back in 2011, but had sat idle since January 2012 - until, one day after the last CU was run and accounts checked in this case (i.e. on 28 March), it suddenly became active again. And has taken up KuhnstylePro's editing pattern - creation of fictional articles on non-existiant Disney television projects. It came to my attention when Hadley Hudson - a hoax-tainted article created by KuhnstylePro and deleted at AfD - was recreated, with some of the same hoax content, and upon checking, I found this, which is as loud a quacking as can be imagined. Blocked as blatant sockpuppeting, request CU for sleeper check. The Bushranger One ping only 00:00, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just found User:Crocigator, who has an...interesting user talk page, and (more to the point) some of the same hoax content as Mr. Super Mario in userspace - including the telltale "in 2014..." info. Also this edit is the same as a KuhnstylePro attempt to change the same template. Also blocked, it was also created in 2011 so it seems there may well be more sleepers out there. - The Bushranger One ping only 00:40, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pithcrystal is technically  Unlikely to be Kuhnstyle, but other behavioural evidence (which I will not spell out on this page, because it involves off-site material) strongly suggests there is a connection. First noticed this user when he made an edit claiming that a Calvin and Hobbes movie was in the works for Disney Channel, just as KuhnstylePro had done. Further investigation of his edits have turned up edits to articles on TV networks airing children's cartoons/TV shows like Disney Channel (again, another thing that points to KuhnstylePro) and a user subpage for Boneheads, a cartoon which KuhnstylePro had previously tried to create articles for. Another funny thing I noticed was an edit to a maintenance template that KuhnstylePro had also made changes to just two edits before. I think it's very clear what's going on here. Sigh... Quack. Mr. Kuhn is setting up for another vandalism campaign. He previously attempted to create an article on "Disney Channel Original Productions, which it appears he's doing again here. There is also the typical Boneheads stuff here. Then there's this by confirmed sock BoneheadsFreak, which is parroted and expanded upon by TiggerChewer. User seems to be interested a specific wording at Madison High with the plea "Do not revert it, please" which is notably similar to TiggerChewer's plea, "Please leave this alone!" over the same wording. Seems like classic behavior for this sockjobber. Brand new user also seems very familiar with creating new articles and setting up sandbox pages, etc. [10] If sock is confirmed, I suspect we'd need to speedy delete [11] and his other setups? I was alerted to this editor by way of User:Cyphoidbomb, who expressed concern that this user could be User:KuhnstylePro trying to evade his block yet again. I have to admit that I'm somewhat concerned about this, since one of Rovio Never's actions was to try to create The Tom and Jerry Show (2014 TV series), which is essentially the article deleted at this AfD, but with the new date of 2014. The reason I mention this is because KuhnstylePro had a history of creating articles for shows that didn't exist or were dropped. It's not helped by the fact that the editor is editing the Machinima.com article in the Sonic for Hire section, which is one of the socks that KuhnstylePro created. There's just enough here that I'm leery of this editor. What cemented it for me is User:Rovio Never/sandbox, which is a blatantly hoax article for so many reasons that I don't think I really need to point them out. The quacking is loud enough that it made me decide to file this SPI on my own, rather than waiting to see if Cyphoidbomb wanted to do it. It might be worth looking to see if there are any sleeper accounts and possibly block KuhnstylePro's IP, if he's editing from one specific IP. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:04, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Man, Tokyogirl79 was on it! I appreciate her follow-through! I was hesitant to proceed even though I felt quite strongly that this was Kuhn--I was waiting for clear evidence and for some brainwork from the community. There were strong indicators, for example, a brand new user toying around in the Tom and Jerry article, nominating a page for speedy deletion and tweaking templates here and there, etc. The user also triggered some copy/paste flags, likely for his reintroduction of previously deleted content into the Tom & Jerry 2014 article.
Now with the above objections in mind, there does seem to be some indication that the show COULD proceed in 2014, for example here. But per usual, instead of making in-earnest, genuine contributions, the user appears to be also setting up for yet another hoax campaign, for example with this edit where he attempts to build an article on the "Emmy Award- and Annie Award-winning" Beware the Spy Kids series, which seems to exist only here and at Wikia.com, having been created there by SonictheHedgehogBoy200. It seem like classic Kuhn. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:24, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
UPDATE - this article, which Rovio edited today, has Kuhn socks all over it: ThreediotsFreak, BoneheadsFreak, Super Martino Bro.(Dunno if this was proven, but sounds like him), Pithcrystal, KuhnstylePro. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:30, 3 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
UPDATE - Madison High was another article where Kuhn attempted to force a specific POV, with very specific language, ("Madison High is unlikely to be ordered to series") across the various socks. Rovio has updated the article with the same original research and phrasing as the others, here. I think there's enough evidence that this is a DUCK, but would like to encourage further research. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 00:10, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well the core of my argument was that the sock was engaging in repetitive re-submission of the language, not necessarily that he had invented the language. It's an unsourced conclusion that fits his POV. Anyhow, thanks for your work on this. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:35, 8 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Pines appears to have begun a campaign to revert edits made by known Kuhn sock Rovio Never. Editor interaction analyzer. I undid a slew of Rovio's edits after it was proven that he was a sock of banned user KuhnstylePro. For example, in this edit the only difference between Rovio's contribution, and Pines4Hire's contribution is the intermediate edit added by "Mr. Lama". The point being that Pines restored the content I deleted by the banned user. Article Nintendo Video is another Kuhn playground, where you will note Pithcrystal, Crocigator, KuhnstylePro, etc. As for the IP, it reverted my Rovio reversion here with the angry summary "WRONG!" Might be premature to pursue the IP with only one edit, but I believe the user logged out to make that edit. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:52, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Kuhn has used "Martino" in socks before. (See: Super Martino Bro.) Kuhn was quite active in the rumor-mongering involving the 2014 reboot of the The Tom and Jerry Show (2014 TV series). (It had previously been announced for 2013, and there was some battling at the old article The Tom and Jerry Show (2013 TV series). (The old version was deleted and I can't see the history.

Here's one of his socks editing at Tom and Jerry:[12] then another one here. User is very particular about his version of article text remaining, and doesn't take kindly to changes, even if they replace his copyvios. In this edit I remove copyvio content. Martino replaces it here and in the main Tom and Jerry article here after they had been warned. These edits demonstrate bad faith. The Sonic the Hedgehog franchise is another of his interests. (See Sonic4Hire) Here is a Martino edit to a related article. Further, the most telling piece of behavioral evidence, is that Kuhnstyle edited Template:Bad summary here and MartinoGameMaster, who is presumably a new user, also edited the obscure template here. (He also botched the grammar). Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:52, 12 March 2014 (UTC) Update: Martino also edited this template, the edit history of which is peppered with a bunch of Kuhn socks: KuhnstylePro, Pithcrystal, and Crocigator. I reverted all of Kuhn's posts as MartinoGameMaster, since he is a banned user. Halbert W. Troll reverted one of my reversions here with the edit summary, "Don't revert it." This user has also edited at Sonic for Hire. Now, superficially, this would appear to be a clear-cut Kuhn sock, but based on some recent events and some questionable behavior from another user, I'm suspicious that another sock jobber might be trying to pose as Kuhn. Regardless, an investigation is warranted, and I would strongly recommend not just ruling this SPI a "duck" case. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:33, 19 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

New user who, as their sixth edit, edited a template, (Template:Bad summary) to include similar problematic content that KuhnstylePro did, as well as identical content to that of his sock MartinoGameMaster. That template was previously protected because of Kuhn. SelLauria also has some hoaxy-looking content in his user space User:SelLauria/Kenneth Far-Fetched and User:SelLauria/Scott Fellows, which he's softened by calling it fan canon (fanon) and using a template he's made up for the occasion at User:SelLauria/Wikipedian fanon. (Note: I have nominated these for speedy-delete under G5, blocked user.) Incidentally, I believe a Kuhn sock created the Kenneth Far-Fetched article in live spaces, but it was deleted User has also edited The Devil Went Down to Georgia, which was also edited by MartinoGameMaster. Duck. Kuhn likes Sonic, so many of his socks bear the name, as does this one. Kuhn edits Wander Over Yonder, so does this guy. Kuhn and this sock both edited Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior. And most telling, the user once again created Sonic For Hire and turned it into a redirect to Machinima.com. • Man, I must have been asleep for the recreation of Madison High. That's pretty ducky. Monkeyroccos also edited Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior which was also edited by SonictheHedgehogBoy200. I also notice Monkeyroccos editing the Uw-hoax template here with softer "Please try not to create...hoaxes" language. In another template Crocigator prefers starting with Please. And several of the other socks seem interested in the phrasing of various templates. Nishelodeon, Kuhnstylepro, MartinoGameMaster, Pithcrystal. Editing template prose is clearly an area of interest, and sometimes the grammar is poor. Here Monkeyroccos changes prose from "Please help improve this template if you can" to "Please help out to improve this template if you can". That reminds me of MartinoGameMaster's edit here where he changes "Please help improve this template page" to "Please help out improve (sic) this template page". The "Please help out" stands out. Also, Monkeyroccos edited The Devil Went Down to Georgia, which is another Kuhn destination. MartinoGameMaster edited there, as did SpringBreakersNo1. I think it's a no-brainer. Good eyes, Geraldo. User also added Phibian Mike content here which contains similar formatting and introduction of Phibian Mike content as this edit by Monkeyroccos, a confirmed sock. Thanks. Re-creation of Phibian Mike hoax makes it pretty obvious. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:58, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New account, similarly named to Jacob4Hire (Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has a Sonic 4 Hire project), suspicious removal of CSD template. Another no-brainer from Kuhn. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:12, 16 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

First two edits are to recreate Category:Boomerang original programs and Template:Boomerang programming. Username is connected to an elaborate off-site hoax about an obscure cartoon short being picked up by the Disney Channel. Matches past hoaxes by KuhnstylePro. Insertion of Hadley Hudson hoax. See by MEATorDIE freak, a proven sock, and by Waving Wabbid. I can't see deleted Hadley Hudson but understand from Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Boneheads (TV series) that significant content about Wendy Wu was part of the hoax in the Hadley Hudson article. Immediately after the last Kuhnsock was blocked, this account turns up, editing one of the same articles that account did and adding some of the same content that account had added to another (since redirected) article [15] [16], in addition to having the "Mr. ___________" username format that a number of Kuhnstyle's socks have returned to. I've blocked per the duck test, requesting CU confirmation (not sure if there'd be more sleepers right after the last check, but given this user's habits, I dunno...). I'll just copy his hoax page here (emphasis added by me):

Codenamed bob {{cite web|title=Codenamed Bob|<ref>url=http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5722452/|website=IMDB|publisher=imdb.com}}</ref> is a 2016 short Directed Shot & Edited by Rakesh Naguri. The short is the first "released" short film from Boomerang Studios. The film is produced by Boomerang Studios. It is an Intense Action Drama starring Justin Axelrode and Vincent Sepe.

  • I've blocked this user for repeated, deliberate disruptive editing. They kept trying to stop the AfD by creating the film article under a different capitalization and moving the article with an AfD template to Wikipedia:Codenamed Bob and making a new article in the now empty space, sans AfD template. It's all so deliberate that even if they aren't KuhnstylePro, they clearly don't have any intention of editing in a beneficial manner on Wikipedia. I am also concerned that even if they're not currently a sockpuppet or engaged in sockpuppetry that they will promptly open up a new account to evade the block and start trying to create the article, given their behaviors so far. This user is creating hoax articles for upcoming animated TV series, such as Spruce & Gimli (2020) and Kabuki Akiyama Z (2019). Both fake shows have Wikias here and here, respectively.

The user is at least partly familiar with the format convention for TV show articles.

The user’s only edits seem to have been for the user’s sandbox and articles/drafts for the fake shows.

According to the sandbox, the user claims to be a female with Asperger syndrome and a YouTube channel. She plans to create articles for at least two other shows.

Since I am anonymous, I need someone to flag this user as a suspected sock (User:Kmayasmith123 does not exist). 108.210.218.135 (talk) 22:09, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The YouTube channel features a young woman's videos. (The link above doesn't work--some reformatting is required.) Unless Kuhn has co-opted her identity, which is a possibility, I don't think that they're related. Perhaps just an ambitious young lady with no specific creative outlet. Note that the latter has been indeffed for nearly a year already, so might not be possible to CU, but I still think they are the same person.

It's been 3 years since the last SPI of KuhnstylePro, but I think this is another one. First, with respect to JDR: Same addition/modification of hoax Wii games Shake it Up and Shake It Up 2 to Papaya Studio and List of Activision video games/List of Activision games: 2010–2019 as confirmed sock User:Venus Mousetrap: VM adds 2 to Activision list VM adds 1 to Activision list VM adds 2 to Papaya list VM adds 1 to Papaya list JDR modifies both in Papaya list JDR adds 1 and 2 to Activision list. JDR has same interest in Crash Bandicoot in particular as VM, including both adding minor edits to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy specifically: JDR VM Minor edits to templates as well JDR JDR again and many by VM (see contribs). I'm sure this list of similarities isn't extensive, but I hope it's clear.

With respect to TKK: Similar weird edits about the Playstation Vita specifically on Eighth generation of video game consoles, including adding the exact same source: among others, see JDR TKK TKK TKK. They were the one that added the Shake It Up hoax games to Papaya Studio - see TKK. They assert that these additions were from Fandom/Wikia TKK, and KuhnstylePro is known to use Wikia to fabricate hoaxes (LTA page). TKK, VM, and other socks edited Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior: particularly similar edits include TKK with Spyro4Hire. TKK has also asserted the existence of a hoax game "Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior Kick-in Challenge" in this contrib to Papaya Studio (linked above as well), and I would not be surprised if KuhnstylePro had created it previously as well. eviolite (talk) 05:34, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Speaking of "Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior Kick-in Challenge": JDR just added it to the Papaya Studio page. Also, I checked, and the Fandom page on the supposed game was completely created by one person who also created the Fandom/Wikia article on "Boneheads (TV series)", a hoax of Kuhn's outlined in this old ANI thread and at this AfD. There is no doubt that at the very least both of these users have been adding the same hoax information perpetrated by Kuhn to Wikipedia, and other behavioral info match up. eviolite (talk) 19:19, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
note: not sure whether to put this here or in comments by other users @LaundryPizza03: It looks like the CU was declined because the other accounts (besides JDR) are stale, so there's nobody to compare their info to. Hopefully a behavioural investigation will still be done eviolite (talk) 04:08, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Update: NinjaRobotPirate has confirmed that JDR and TKK are related in this diff (thanks also to Ferret). eviolite (talk) 07:00, 24 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
