[edit]Staighre seems to be a painfully transparent sockpuppet of Redking7, carrying on the same disruption as before. Save for a few edits in November 2007 then December 2008, the account was dormant then popped up to vote in the poll about Ireland article names, which is abusive sockpuppetry to votestack in addition to other disruption caused by this editor. No edits after that until 26 September, just over a week after Redking7 was indefinitely blocked for disruption. The editing style is quacking obvious, in addition to the same SPA-like changing of Republic of Ireland to Ireland there's extensive involvement in areas relating to People's Republic of China, Taiwan and various relationships between the two and other countries, which coincidentally was the exact same area Redking7 was disrupting to the extent he was indefinitely blocked. Could all this be coincidence? I don't think so, and neither should anyone else. 2 lines of K303 13:53, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

[edit]- DaliBama (talk+ · tag · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · spi block · block log · CA · CheckUser(log) · investigate · cuwiki)
The user in question here has come into the Troubles area, and with their first edits not only staked out the positions of past repeated sockmasters there, but also had the same editing quirks. The user was blocked by User:SarekOfVulcan as a sock of User Talk:Boneyarddog (please note, the user has a current unblock request). I reviewed the information in this situation, and I have a good degree of confidence that the user os a reincarnation of indefblocked/banned user User:Redking7.
Editing quirks include changing the pipe link from Republic of Ireland to Ireland (State), and a history of editing the Names of the Irish State article
See previous socks of Redking7 which had this quirk:
Staighre (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log)
[1],[2]
Panassonic (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) [3]
DaliBama (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) [4].
Now, I would have a high enough confidence in the evidence I have provided to name Redking7 as the sock master here, to block him for that per DUCK, etcetera. However, due to the delicate situation with Boneyarddog (where the user is obviously a known user with an alternate account, unknown whom, with an unblock request pending), and with the possible misidentification of DaliBama with Boneyarddog, I thought it best if a formal SPI is done, with CheckUser.

[edit]Redking7 back causing his usual disruption on his pet article Names of the Irish state, and the edits to Commonwealth related articles are consistent with previous socks in particular GettingOut (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). [edit]RedKing7 was blocked for a wide variety of disruptive editing generally relating to sovereignty disputes, particularly relating to the China-Taiwan sovereignty dispute. The IPs above are in his known range, one which has been repeatedly rangeblocked (zero to little collateral damage) due to his sockpuppetry. Once again there's involvement in China-Taiwan issues here and more sovereignty disputes here and here. Request renewal of rangeblock detailed above and a checker for rooting out any sleeper accounts which he is known to create to avoid that block. Thanks.

[edit]- Administrator note The /17 range has been reblocked for 3 months. NW (Talk) 22:27, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Clerk declined – after looking at the histories of a few of the pages involved, it doesn't look like CU will dig up anything, at least I don't suspect socking on other users. NuclearWarfare has already blocked that range, which I support. I don't think there is any further action needed at this time. –MuZemike 00:45, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
