Hello! This is the Grammy Awards task force. We are a Wikipedia task force a part of WikiProject Awards and prizes that's dedicated to the creation, expansion and updating of articles and lists related to the Grammy Awards.
Selected Featured List: The Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video is an honor presented at the Grammy Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1958 and originally called the Gramophone Awards, to performers, directors, and producers of quality short form music videos. Honors in several categories are presented at the ceremony annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to "honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position".
Selected Good Article: The Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance was an honor presented to recording artists at the 31st Grammy Awards in 1989 and the 32nd Grammy Awards in 1990 and again from 2012 for quality rap performances. The Grammy Awards, an annual ceremony that was established in 1958 and originally called the Gramophone Awards, are presented by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to "honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position".
Selected Start Article: The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Inc., known variously as The Recording Academy or NARAS, is a U.S. organization of musicians, producers, recording engineers and other recording professionals dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural condition for music and its makers. Neil Portnow is the current president of The Academy.
The purpose of this project is to have all articles and lists for Grammy Award categories, along with several special Grammy accolades, at their highest possible quality. For many categories, the highest achievable quality is featured list status. For some categories it may be good status, or even lower if the category has a short life span and is therefore less likely to become featured content.
Consistency among lists is strongly preferred. One beneficial byproduct of generating featured lists is the creation of stubs for many Grammy-winning artists and works lacking articles, since having a "minimal proportion" of redlinked items is required for lists to be awarded featured status. Imagine the amount of information available to users if every Grammy nominee and winner in every award category, along with their works, are collected and displayed properly!
