I can confirm that the mount drops from 驯犬大师克拉克斯. It is a personal loot and needs to be looted from the rare.

The macros have been updated to reflect these changes. Many thanks to the people who pointed these errors out to me!

Just got this after about my third kill. I usually see at least one person get it per group I join. I think it has a higher drop rate personally.

The rares who drop these mounts only yield loot for you once per day. I have created a macro to track whether they have been killed by you during this reset:

Is there anything wrong with the drop rates that are supposed to be 2-3%?
Since I got 2 rare elite kills and both dropped this mount and the Maddened Chaosrunner from the 1st kill.
Or I got really lucky?

Got a 2nd one and couldn't trade it with anyone participating in the kill. Didn't show the usual blue text saying you can trade within 2 hours. Seems to be fully personal loot sadly.

All Rare Elite Spawns on Argus rotate on a ~4 hour window of opportunity. In that time it will respawn and will be lootable. However, when that window closes the rare spawn will despawn, including ones that are pulled already.

The exemption to this rule is when they are the World Quest target. If that is the case, then the rare spawn will respawn throughout the entire window the WQ is available.

There are rare spawns that drop a fel spotted egg, and rare spawns that drop mounts. There seems to be a limit to how many of these will be active at once. At the moment, it appears that there will never be any more than 1 fel spotted egg dropper and no more than one mount dropper up at any one time.

Fel Spotted Eggs, after the 5 day wait time, becomes a Cracked Fel Spotted Egg, which can either drop a mount, pet, or junk.
The mounts from the eggs are: Vibrant Mana Ray, Scintillating Mana Ray, Felglow Mana Ray, and Darkspore Mana Ray
The pets from the eggs are: Fel Afflicted Skyfin and the Docile Skyfin
Note: you are NOT guaranteed a mount or pet drop. It could still result in a useless item.

The rare elites that drop the eggs are:
Naroua - In north eastern Krokuun, from a path at Destiny Point
Sabuul - In Central Mac'Aree, directly north of the center-most teleport point.
Varga - In central Anrotan Wastes, under the spider area and accessible via a fel lava level cave

Skreeg The Devourer : who drops the Acid Belcher
Both Vrax'thul and Puscilla drop the Biletooth Gnasher
Blistermaw: who drops the Crimson Slavermaw

I don't know when this changed. It use to not be tradeable as I attempted to give this drop to my sister when I got an extra and it wasn't eligible to trade months ago. Today, it dropped and I saw the blue text indicating it was tradeable and gave it to a very lucky person who didn't have it yet who was the only remaining person left in the group.

I've been casually farming the argus mounts when the world quests are up. I was lucky on this one, it dropped for me after 12 kills!

Ok, had to confirm it. I killed the rare last night, but it was late and didn't realize I looted it. I don't farm for mounts, and only killed Houndmaster because he was on the way to a quest... but when I got back on today, it was in my bag. Looks nice! :)

As of 10.2.5 I have killed Houndmaster Kerrax a total of 303 times without a drop, which seems statistically unlikely.

Can anyone confirm this is still dropping as I am getting suspiscious that something is wrong here.

EDIT: Took exactly 333 kills for the mount to drop so I can confirm it is still dropping.
