Burger's Lake

Good times at burger lake ! We came in a perfect hot Thursday. It wasn't very busy and there was no wait for anything ! 20 bucks for every person is a little steep , but I get it. I didn't like the no alcohol thing at first but then I realized there's several reason why alcohol shouldn't be involved here ! Mmmm we all ate ice cream on a stick which was only 2 bucks a piece and SOOOO delicious. We had a nice spot right near the beach and it stayed nice and shady under a big tree . We brought a nice picnic And enjoyed it. Lots of lifeguards on duty and they were all very strict with the rules ( in a good way) I'd come back here but next time I'm bringing some charcoal !

Pros: great family day with access to bathrooms, food, water park type activities, life guards, mini shop, ice cream and some spots to set up!
The lifeguards and on site police are VERY efficient. They are wonderful!

Cons:
Cost in 2024 is $20 per person of ALL AGES.
There is no one regulating the time frame of someone jumping off or sliding down any of the "rides" or diving areas which has resulted in injuries from being a witness. I noticed that was a major major issue.
Not many spots to set up by the water. I couldn't imagine coming on a Saturday.
Parking was good.
Many areas and tables to eat in the shade behind parking

Great place to go to and if you want to have great fun go here reserve a pavilion and have a cookout great slides and is a Great Lake recommend going here

Went on the last Sunday they were open for the summer and it was great not too busy. Brought our own propane grill and spent the majority of the day there.

Always fun!!
Get there early to get a good spot with a grill (if you want to grill)

Bring a cooler with lotsa water, cokes, etc but no alcohol is allowed (wink wink)

They have a great snack bar, so you don't have to cook, but bring plenty of cash for that. Try the frozen pickle shots, my kids love them!

Bring towels, sunscreen, and plastic bags for wet suits (there's changing stalls) and dry clothes to change into. Bring inflatable floats, or pool noodles.

You can buy a punch card if you're planning to come multiple times, and it doesn't expire. Saves a lot of $$!
We got one for a couple hundreds dollars it lasted 3 summers!! We went a bunch!

Best place in Fort Worth to cool off, water is always 70 degrees!!

My sister and I took my son (5) and her daughter (4) to Burger's Lake on Memorial Day weekend. I was worried it'd be overcrowded and, to be completely honest, after some of the more recent reviews was nervous about the type of atmosphere we might encounter due to having a very blended family of our own.

However, I'm so glad we went bc we all had a great time and the kids can't wait to go back!

They do have several Fort Worth Police Officers continuously patrolling throughout the park. The few we interacted with were all extremely helpful and didn't mind talking with the kiddos. They even pointed us to a prime parking spot they knew was available and would make it easy having smaller children with us.

Majority of the lifeguard staff seemed nice. They routinely announced certain rules everyone needed to be mindful of such as if you have a young child that cannot swim, even if they're wearing a life jacket, an adult is required to be in the water with them at arms distance. They also made it clear that if you didn't have a life vest of your own, they are available for free; they simply require an ID be left while in use.

There are other rafts for rent but we didn't look into those options.

There really is a LOT to do compared to the overall size of the place, not to say it's small by any means! They have 3 large slides, with a height requirement that even our little guys could go down. The kiddy area has 4 small slides of their own and on the opposite side of the lake from those is a swirly slide for kids with water that flows down it as well.

There are a plethora of diving boards! Some are in the center of the lake where it's 20' deep (& roped off - strong swimmers only are allowed over there) in addition to some rather intimidating high boards!! A smaller diving board for kids or anyone who might be afraid of heights is another option, as well as a mini dock my son couldn't stop jumping off of!

Per my sister, the most epic thing is the trapeze-like swing that you can use to flip out into the water or bellyflop, depending on your skill level.

There are (2) separate beach areas for kids and families to build sand castles, a few areas are slightly shaded. You'll need to bring your own sand toys but most of the kids were fine sharing & even returning items to us when they were done using them.

Parents of small children will be thrilled with the splash playground, located in a very shaded area. It's fenced off and never had any older kids coming in trying to take over. Our guys loved the giant bucket that tips over every 5 mins or so! It can be *very* slippery so I do recommend water shoes if you have them.

Another fun (yet sometimes frightening for me) experience was the giant kangaroo jumping pillow. The kids absolutely loved jumping on this; however, a HUGE word of caution if you have small ones... The sign says it's only for 5' and under but a guard is not stationed here. Bigger kids/teenagers will just rush this jumper without paying mind to any small children around. (Note: Guessing the $2 jump fee is old bc there was no charge.)

Parking is plentiful as are picnic tables. Some people brought large tents and their own tables & chairs; a few also brought a speaker setup (no one was playing anything offensive or inappropriate). There are more charcoal grills than I could count and spaced out all over. (FYI The no alcohol rule is strictly enforced.)

We brought our own snacks but did purchase some of the food. The hotdogs are 100% beef & portions are much larger than expected. Blue Bell Ice Cream & Dip'n Dots rounded out our evening.

We will definitely be back. It was fun for all and pricing was reasonable - $15 per person or $100 for an annual pass (good 365 days from purchase date)

Great family place! Fun for all & no alcohol!! The kids loved the slides, trapeze and high dives! Wish we had known sooner. Wish they gave military & senior discounts tho...

Having only moved from Cali 3 years ago, I haven't been to many places like this and wasn't sure what to expect. We drove up around 2:30pm on a Saturday to a mass of families enjoying the lake, my first reaction was utter fear and anxiety over the boisterous kids and long lines wondering how the experience might unfold.

However, we were pleasantly surprised! The water felt and looked super clean and once inside the water I didn't feel as overwhelmed by all the rowdy kids as I had expected. I admit I was too impatient to stand out of water in all the lines, but it was equally as entertaining to watch everyone flipping and jumping off the diving boards and trapeze swing. My husband had a blast testing all the different toys and diving platforms.

There was a snack bar with pizza, corn dogs, dip n dots, etc. looked like plenty of fun indulgence foods for the fam!

I was really impressed with the lifeguards and safety protocols. There's someone on a giant loud speaker that asks everyone to stop and look left and right whenever a family member can't locate their child - it was a super fast and efficient way to reunite lost loved ones. I also witnessed the lifeguard's incredibly speedy reaction to people who appeared to be in distress- I felt incredibly safe.

It costs $15 per person (not per vehicle) to enter which seemed steep. I wish they'd give wristbands to people who wish to use the diving boards and slides and have them pay $15, but for anyone who just wants a dip in the water maybe it could be less? Either way, it's less expensive (and seemingly cleaner) than a water park.

Great option for family gatherings. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks in. They have slides and shallow areas for children and non-swimmers. Additionally they have multiple diving boards, slides and swings with areas up to 20 feet deep. Took my adult kids for an afternoon. Be advised-no alcohol is allowed in the park. Due to this each vehicle is searched by Law Enforcement at the entry point to ensure compliance. This does create a delay and long line before gaining access to the park. Arrive early. Will definitely recommend visit for families.

Berger lake is the best weekend get away& summer fun destination.
I've only been there once, but it left an impression that, I'd recommend, experiencing it, one weekend
They have camp sights, and picnic Settings, with grills.
They have an armed security going around making sure everybody is safe& having fun, but also keeping order.
The pool, is, size of a small lake, but maintained& has slides& swinging rope.
All, in all, fun place to relax& go swimming& picnicking.
