Gidgets Sandwich Shack

Gidgets was a breath of fresh air from a place with a quirky, throwback vibe. Order at the counter, take a seat with a character card (vs a number) Ours was Carol Brady from the Brady Bunch haha. Sandwiches freshly made, provided in a simple basket with pickle and chips. We had a turkey, bacon ranch, and chicken, bacon fajita wrap. Wonderful. Everyone super nice.

Good sandwiches and delicious home made chips. Portions on the smaller side, but this is literally like having your family member make you sandwich and soup in the kitchen!

Recommend calling in your order as they are always super busy! Love that they have an option for you to buy lunch in advance for someone in need.

The ladies are friendly and helpful. But beware mindful of the parking situation, especially during lunch hours.

We are new to the area and someone told me
about the sandwich shop. We were very pleased with the food. I had the jalapeño egg salad and fresh fruit. My wife had the tomato bisque and the chicken salad sandwich with grapes. The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Stopped into Gidgets while driving to Dallas for lunch. Love the eclectic decor: antique meets kitsch meets nostalgia meets southern charm. Staff were super friendly, and I love that it was an all woman kitchen. Sandwiches were simple and delicious - I had the Californian and my husband had the Garlic Grilled Cheese special. Both came with chips and a cookie - I happened to get a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie with my lunch - that's my favorite! We are saving this place for the next time we drive through and need a bite to eat!

Food and service were both amazing. Neat little mom and pop style cafe with homemade food. Must try if in town.

Local. Special. Tastes real. Kind and welcoming staff will be quick to take your order placed at the front counter. Love the little sandwich baggies of housemade cookies ready to tempt just when you're heading out the door. My kids loved the smoothies. I enjoy the chicken salad sandwich. This spot is located downtown and the place is usually packed with hungry folks. Parking can be difficult, but if you are willing to walk a few paces from street parking you will fare well. Lots of round table seating and local art work on walls. Expect homey and unpretentious.

YES!! Best sandwhich place in Texas and perfect stop for lunch on a road trip. The cookies are amazing and taste homemade and sandwiches were SO GOOD!!

I got the chicken pom. with a side of fresh fruit and my husband got the half and half combo- California and club sandwhich halves and a side of house chips. Everything was perfect and we even got some extra cookies for our drive.

Sandwhich chefs even wrote a congratulations on our cookie bag (newly weds ) and a side of chicken for our dogs waiting patiently for us to get food to-go. 10/10 will come back on our next road trip to this side of the state.
