STOP ... JUST STOP! You'll be glad you did!
Don't blink or you'll miss this gem. Located in the middle of nowhere, Snookie's is a food haven for hungry travelers that have a big city palate. It was the perfect mid way stop for us between Amarillo and Granbury TX. And I have yelpers to thank for helping me find it!
It has an upgraded rustic vibe with ample seating. Its light filled, clean, and open concept with fun animal themed artwork made this place feel young, fresh, and inviting. So much better than those dusty old roadside dinners you find in these itty bitty ghost towns. And using "craft kitchen" instead of "cafe" intrigued me as well. Could it really be?? There's a great story behind their name and should you find yourself there on a Sunday - just ask the owner's mum to tell you. I knew there was a story there. Cute little local family business. Staff all looked genuinely happy to be there too and were cheerful and helpful.
The Sunday brunch menu was filled with a nice variety of options from sweet, to savory, to spicy. Sunday brunch also comes with a free mimosa (or poinsettia) which was a really nice touch. We opted for the Chicken & Waffles and the Breakfast Enchilada. I'm telling you - these dishes were right up there with the best I had in all the big cities I've lived in. The waffle was for sure 'Texas sized" and came with a generous amount of chicken. The chicken was seasoned spot on with a light breading that didn't overwhelm the moist large chunks of chicken and it complimented the crispy and very fluffy maple waffle so very well. A dynamite pairing of sweet and salty. Truly was one the the best C/W's I've had in a very long time! My mum got the enchiladas and the bite I had was a spicy and creamy dream. My mom was raving about it as well. I wish this place was near my house, cause I'd be there all the time! Just so good!
I've bookmarked this place and should I ever find myself on 281 driving through Scotland, TX I will for sure hold out from stopping anywhere else and give this place my business. Bravo - I wish them the best of luck for the future of their amazing craft kitchen.

Another great chicken fried steak yesterday Disappointed that they were out of the carrots really wanted to try them Got Mac and cheese instead No toast What's up with that Tried the blackberry cobbler it wasn't anything special Kinda bland sure not worth $5 After further review it was horrible It didn't taste good and had very little blackberries in it

Hi Fred. Thank you for the reviews and feedback. We truly appreciate it. Ring our first year open we’re taking all the feedback and marking adjustments as we go. For example, toast is now available with our chicken fried steak and a few other dishes so if it’s not on your plate, please ask…we make mistakes sometimes.

Mar 30, 2024Previous reviewThe best chicken fried steak hands down in N Tx Made fresh when you order not some frozen piece of whatever like most places serve It is fantastic the Mac and cheese was great and they serve you a nice little side salad Only thing missing is piece of Texas toast If everything else on the menu is as good as the CFS you can't go wrong stopping in here on the way to WF

Could not have been a more pleasant surprise to find this place on the way back from Hotter'N He'll bike ride in Wichita Falls! Friendly greetings from staff as we entered and were seated quickly for Sunday Brunch. Once seated we were offered some complimentary mimosas which were a tasty treat. Our group of 3 ordered three dishes plus a half dozen donuts. Everything was tasty! Beware of Jerry and his golden fork... he's always looking to collect the donut tax! We did not get photos, but our dishes looked as good as the other ones in the profile. Thanks Snookies... we'll be back!

Delicious food ... not slop. Wonderful staff and hosts. Menu is great. Especially Sunday morning. Be there. You won't be disappointed!

Great addition to this area. Service was friendly and efficient. We finished our dinner at 6:30 pm on a Thursday night. Almost all the tables were filled. Parking lot was filled. Kitchen was also prepping "to-go" orders but it did not negatively impact service. We enjoyed meatloaf and heard those around us comment about how good their varied dishes were.

Great place! Everything I tried has been scrumptious! Chef, wait staff and all workers are sweet and always making sure everyone is getting g what they need.
