Not the best area. I would go with a group and never just girls. There are definitely some regulars here, which is a given. Nice!! Cleaner than I expected! Very bright + fun inside! The staff is not too happy, but it was a fun night! The drinks are not too expensive. There are not too many playing tables..but you can still get some fun in! I do not know if I would be back, but I would go if my friends would want to go again.

Had a friend come here all the way from Kentucky but they said they do not accept anyone from Kentucky due to a lot of fake Kentucky IDs. Will never go there again.

I had a terrible experience at Hollywood Casino Ohio. My husband and kids accompanied me to the casino, but we were told they could not wait in the restaurant, so they left. After they were gone, I tried to enter the casino with my ID in hand, but the security guard at the door refused me entry. When I asked why, he said he was instructed by higher-ups not to let me in, even though my family had already left as requested.

This treatment was completely discriminatory and unjustified. I had already made an effort to follow their rules, yet I was still denied entry without explanation. On top of that, we had come twice earlier in our semi-truck but couldn't find parking, so I even paid for an Uber to get there--only to be turned away and forced to pay for another Uber back within minutes.

This experience was not only frustrating but also costly and humiliating. I demand that Hollywood Casino address this incident, compensate me for the inconvenience, and ensure no other customer is treated this way. Discrimination has no place in any business, let alone a major casino.

First time in a casino period. I can see how people are easily drawn to the glitz and glamour. Lights, video displays, elegant decorations everywhere. Hollywood certainly plays to your senses. We walked around the floor several times people watching. I tried my hand at a few slots but didn't win big. several restaurants on site including a steak house which I would like to try. Free soda and a bar are available. Would go back not that i have a better idea of what to expect.

If you want to escape for a night to Las Vegas but the flights are way above your budget, Hollywood Casino with help. They are open 24 hours, have bars and restaurants inside, and a good variety of ways to gamble. I had dinner at one of the restaurants inside (Final Cut) and it wasn't too bad. My boyfriend and I stuck with the slot machines as it was a busy night and we didn't want to bother with getting on a table. It pretty much goes in a circle and we did several loops hopping on random slots and it was fun.

Despite the poor rating and reviews, I would definitely come back. It was fun and felt like I left Columbus for a night.

It's not Vegas. Yes you can gamble but there's no wait staff to give you any chance at drinks.

This review is not about the services within the casino and what it has to offer but I'm a bit concerned about securing the premises. I was standing outside of the casino because there was an outside concert that my brother happened to be playing there. Once that was over, me, and a few of my friends, while talking after the concert witnessed a bystander shatter, the windows of the casino at least three times with large rocks. I was really concerned that security along with the security cameras that were there that the security or Columbus police came out to get this individual. We actually stood out there and witnessed this crime and the only thing that they could tell us is that they did not have loss prevention when asked. We were also concerned that there was no hesitancy regarding the situation that happened at Hollywood Casino. I would strongly suggest in the future that security would be on post because you never know what people are carrying weapons to bring bodily harm to innocent bystanders like myself. The large rocks that were thrown made it inside the lobby area and could've hit someone in the head and injured them. That in itself is a liability. My best friend who witnessed this crime works for OSHA and talked to the shift manager of security explaining how concerning this situation is and how serious they should take that incident.

It's not Vegas. It's Columbus. For a casino in Columbus, Ohio, it's very nice! The inside is themed after the golden era of Hollywood. It is large and very open. It's set up in a circular pattern with a bar in the center. There's a large heated, covered patio that has more slot machines and another bar. You can't smoke inside, but you can on the patio.

There are a few restaurants. The only one I've tried is Mikey's Late Night Slice. I don't eat pizza often, so this is always a treat. They have five or six options that they serve by the slice. It's made elsewhere then brought in and heated. You get a huge slice. They also have a full bar.

One downside. Unlike Vegas, no free drinks. Hubby usually has a beer, and I have a mixed drink. That will run you $14 plus a tip. The mixed drinks are small. If you're a drinker or there for a while, it's going to cost quite a bit. Also, they don't serve alcohol after 2 am. I think last call is 1:45am.

As far as gambling, I haven't played the table games, so I can't comment on those. There is a wide variety of slot machines, including new and old. We've been there several times and have won several handpays. That's not to say that the machines aren't a bit tight sometimes. Overall, you can win enough, though, to have fun!

We went on Sunday afternoon - when we pulled into the parking lot - it didn't look like a casino. Maybe at night it is lit up(??)but it looked like an abandoned mall WITH NO WINDOWS. And then you walk in and it's a CASINO! We had so much fun, yes we lost money but we played craps, black jack, roulette and slots. When you go to amusement part you PAY money for admission or rides, and at casino you play games and with some luck WIN SOME MONEY. . We had drinks and pizza and laughed a lot. It was fun. Will do it again soon.
