Had the best impossible bun at this location. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since I left! The service was amazing- they were prompt in getting our orders in. The vibe of the Resturant itself was also very nice! We left three hours ago and haven't been able to stop talking about that impossible bun!

Last night, my husband surprised me with a thoughtful and delicious treat: JINYA Ramen Bar, featuring my all-time favorite, the Tonkotsu Black ramen. It was the perfect start to a cozy at-home date night. We ordered the ramen for takeout, and as soon as we picked it up, the savory aroma filled the car, making it nearly impossible to wait until we got home.
The Tonkotsu Black did not disappoint. The broth was rich and flavorful. It had the perfect balance of creaminess from the pork bone base, paired with a hint of smokiness from the crispy garlic and a delightful. The noodles were perfectly cooked, firm yet chewy, and absorbed the broth beautifully. Toppings like the seasoned egg, tender pork chashu, and freshly chopped green onions brought everything together, making each bite heavenly.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 43658Oct 29, 2024
Came here for an early dinner .
Sat outside and enjoyed a few appetizers.
I've been to the JINYA in Buford so I've enjoyed their beer flights & ramen .
This time I got the Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura , Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, JINYA Bun and the Impossible Gyoza. All great .
I arrive about 30 min earlier then a friend who was running late in meeting me and both the hostess and my waiter didn't seem annoyed or irritated that I was waiting so long to order .
Great service and a wonderful spot to catch up with an old friend .Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 28, 2024Updated review4 check-ins
Updating my review - wow back in June 2017, the ramen was $12.95 ... now it's $16.85! My favorite ramen "Sprouting Up Ramen" is no longer there but found a new favorite! Their menu also expanded a lot! As noted in my previous review - only complaint is having the tables so close to one another. Otherwise love this spot - my absolute favorite ramen joint in Atlanta!
JINYA TONKOTSU BLACK RAMEN - $16.85
Several reviews raved about the Spicy Chicken Ramen so couldn't decide between that and my usual go-to tonkotsu ramen. Our server said definitely get the tonkotsu black ... and she did me no wrong! Hands-down one of the best tasting ramen ever - the pork broth was mind-blowing, so rich with flavor, ... and the seasoned egg was just the perfect amount of runny. So good!! The ramen also came w/ thin noodles, pork chashu, kirurage, green onion, nori dried seaweed, garlic chips, garlic oil, fried onion, and a small dollop of spicy sauce. Incredible.
Next time I'd like to try a ramen with the thick noodles.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jun 3, 2017Previous reviewI finally found my favorite Ramen restaurant. Yes it feels a little pricey for a bowl of noodles but it's so delicious, portion is generous and there is all kinds of stuff going on in there - also the service is very friendly and the space is cool too ... although kinda small, the tables are very close to each other, it's also kinda loud so probably not the best place to have a serious intimate conversation :) Also try to avoid arriving during lunch rush hour otherwise expect to wait in a long line out the door.
SPROUTING UP RAMEN - $12.95
Our server said this was her favorite - we agree! Pork and chicken broth, pork chashu, kikurage (wood-ear mushroom), spicy bean sprouts (which gives the ramen a slight kick), green onion, 1/2 seasoned egg, crispy Brussels sprouts (yes!), black pepper and ginger ... and of course the Ramen noodles. Nice presentation. Broth was very flavorful and the pork was delicious. Portion was very good - not skimpy like the other ramen joints ... then again, the ramen here might be a little more expensive too. Fresh garlic available upon request. I'd order this ramen again in a heartbeat.
COMBO W/ CRISPY CHICKEN & BABY LEAF SALAD - $4.75 (?)
For just a few extra dollars, you can also get 3 big pieces of fried chicken thigh w/ garlic pepper - hot out of the fryer! I wish it came w/ a dipping sauce - then again the chicken was so juicy maybe no sauce needed. Baby mixed greens salad w/ their house Japanese dressing was also very good but maybe drowning a little in the dressing. One order of the combo was enough to share between two people. I'd get this again too.
Overall loved it and will return for sure. Try to avoid arriving during busy times b/c the space inside is rather small. Glad we have ramen in the Sandy Springs neighborhood! - Nov 11, 2024Updated review9 check-ins
Good food, a little pricey, service is always a tossup. The fact that they do not let you substitute some items for others is complete bull crap. They recently changed this with their franchise. I cannot get behind it considering I'm vegetarian and I do not eat impossible meat. To each their own with their business but also, don't be greedy. You should be able to substitute items for items, period!

Watch out though because they do not let you modify your bowl; instead, they'll let you take away things while charging your extra for it. Not cool, especially considering this place isn't cheap.
Apr 8, 2024Previous reviewIf you like ramen, hell, even if you don't like it, definitely give Jinya a chance! It's some of the best ramen I've ever had! It's always clean inside with pretty good service. Parking is usually a pain at the Sandy Springs location. The only big bummer is Jinya recently made some changes and one of them consists of no substitutions. I love one of the vegan ramen bowls but it comes with impossible meat (which I hate) & they no longer let you sub it for anything, which is a HUGE disappointment considering it's a $3 menu item. I don't think I'll be going as much as I used to due to this.
Mar 2, 2024Previous reviewI'm not usually a huge ramen person but Jinya has my heart. I'm vegetarian so I love that they actually have a few vegan and vegetarian options! It's very flavorful food and huge portions for the price! My only downfall with them is that they do not offer substitutions at all, which is a huge bummer. One of my favorite dishes comes with beyond meat in it and I do not eat that and it's a $3.50 item and they will not substitute anything for it so that's very disappointing.
May 16, 2023Previous reviewThis place always hits the spot! I'm not big on ramen but I can easily tear up a bowl here about once a month. Super flavorful & always packed with so many goodies! They definitely have the best vegan ramen I've ever had in my life. Service is always good, quick & easy. It can get crowded quick & the tables are a little close together so be sure to get there when it's not too crowded to be able to really enjoy it. Parking is also a pain there just because there's so many shops & restaurants so just be aware!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jinya in Sandy Springs, GA, and I must say the Spicy Chicken Ramen was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly complementing the tender chicken and fresh vegetables. The spice level was just right, adding a satisfying kick without overpowering the dish.
The service was impressively swift, ensuring that I didn't have to wait long to enjoy my meal. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, making the dining experience all the more enjoyable. Overall, Jinya exceeded my expectations with both their food and service.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 11, 2024
When I lived in Atlanta Jinya was my favorite Ramen Bar to go to. The employees ALWAYS have great and fast customer service. I truly miss going here and when I visit in Atlanta again I will 100% be back! Their ramen is always flavorful and never disappoints. I have never NOT been full ordering from here and I truly feel like they give you the right amount of ramen to get full off of.

Always a nice choice. We'd seen a movie in the area and got to jinya about 35 minutes before closing; they seated us and made us feel welcome. The food was great as always with quick and efficient service. We were out of there right around closing time and left happy. Love the mini tacos and jinya buns, as well as gyoza and fried Brussels sprouts. Great ramen too of course.

Date night, & Was excited to try this ramen place, as my husband and I love trying out local Ramen places.
We found the service to be accommodating, as we walked in with no reservation & was seated right away.! Servers were pleasant.
Very cozy atmosphere, nicely decorated.! Seats were pretty close to each other.
The Ramen was really quite lackluster in flavor for us.! Not a lot of flavor, ramen tasted kind of bland.!
We wanted to love it, but left underwhelmed.
We wouldn't try it again, as we too tried the Jinya in Athens, and got the same underwhelming experience. :/Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jul 16, 2024
The restaurant is nice and casual, and when I walked in, I was immediately seated. The waitress was attentive and came to the table to ask if we were ready order fairly often. She wanted to make sure we were happy.
I ordered Spicy Vegan ramen, extra spicy which took a while to come out but it was delicious! I couldn't stop eating this ramen. I did wish they added more veggies to the ramen. It felt like it was the broth and noodles with some veggies and tofu mixed in. My friends got spicy tonkotsu ramen, which they enjoyed thoroughly.
The waitress did mess up on couple of our bills but it was fixed quickly. I was a little upset for being charged an extra dollar extra spicy taste. If I was aware of the additional charge, I would have just used spicy sauces that were sitting on the table rather than ordering extra spicy!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
